Sit-ins in honor of martyr Wali Mostafa El-Sayed and all Sahrawi cause martyrs

Shahid El-Hafid (Sahrawi refugee camps) July 16, 2013 (SPS) - Sit-ins will be held on Saturday, in recognition and honor of the symbol martyr Wali Mostafa El-Sayed and all the Sahrawi martyrs, lasting from 8 am to 4 pm in the Hall of the Ministry of Culture.

 

The event will start by reciting verses from the Holy Quran, national anthem, Portrait tapes, lectures, poems, thoughts, biography pictures, presentations, discussion, and a committed song on the occasion.

 

President of Republic: we cannot eliminate diseases as wars continue

Abuja (Nigeria)July 15,2013 (SPS) - President of the Republic, General Secretary of the Polisario Front,Mr. Mohamed Abdelaziz, said on Monday that "as wars  and its consequences, such as the phenomenon of asylum and displacement, continue we cannot eliminate these pests" in reference to serious diseases such as AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria, which are the themes of the Special Summit of the African Union, held on July 15 and 16 in Abuja.

 

Sympathetic organizations with the Saharawi people refute accusations of terrorism against Polisario

Madrid,July16,2013 (SPS) - Three Spanish Organizations, CEAS-Sahara, Um Draiga and the observatory Aragon’s for Western Sahara filed a petition in the Supreme Court to deny the accusations of terrorism against the Polisario.

 

The Council of Ministers adopted in 2011 a recognition of Raimundo Lopez-Penalver as a victim of terrorism, died in Laiun in 1976. Implicitly, thereby Polisario Front is accused as the author of the attack.

 

Amnesty International calls on Spanish King to discuss human rights during his visit to Morocco

Algiers, July 15, 2013 (SPS) - The non-governmental organization Amnesty International (AI) has called on the King of Spain, Juan Carlos, to discuss the violations of human rights in the occupied territories of Western Sahara during his official visit to Morocco.


In a communiqué published on its website, Amnesty International underlined three main issues regarding Morocco, namely the question of Sahara and violation of human rights, the repression of journalists and violence against women.

Moroccan thesis has always lacked sincerity, says Abdelkader Bensalah

Algiers, July 7, 2013 (SPS) - The Speaker of Algeria’s Council of the Nation (Upper House of Parliament) Mr. Abdelkader Bensalah said Sunday in relation to the Algerian-Moroccan relations that “Moroccan thesis has always lacked sincerity,” especially when comes to the Western Sahara issue.


“The Moroccan thesis has always lacked sincerity, Morocco regards Algeria as a source of all problems,” said Bensalah in an interview the Algerian newspaper of Al Khabar.

General Electric pulls out of tender for building wind farm in Western Sahara

London, July 6, 2013 (SPS) - The American company General Electric has pulled out of a bid to construct two wind farms in the occupied Western Sahara, said Friday Western Sahara Resource Watch (WSRW) on its website.


“After checking with our colleagues, we have decided that GE is not participating in the tender for the construction of wind farms in the occupied Western Sahara,” said the GE's Board of Directors in a letter to WSRW.

Four Saharawi political prisoners on hunger strike in prison in occupied El Aaiun
