Aminetu Haidar denounces unjust incarceration of Sahrawi activists

Madrid, November 15, 2014 (SPS) - Sahrawi activist Aminetu Haidar, president of the Collective of Sahrawi Human Rights Defenders denounced Friday the unjust incarceration of Sahrawi activists and life sentences against nine Sahrawi civilians by Moroccan military court.

Polisario Front calls on EU to condemn King of Morocco speech, "affront to peace process"

Brussels (Belgium), November 15, 2014 (SPS) - The Polisario Front has called on the European Union (EU) to condemn the last speech of King Mohammed VI of Morocco on Western Sahara, it deemed "an affront to the peace process."

 

King Mohammed VI said on the occasion of the 39th anniversary of the invasion of the territory by Morocco that Western Sahara conflict was not an issue of decolonization. He added that the mandate of the United Nations peacekeeping mission (MINURSO) should not be extended to the monitoring of human rights in Western Sahara.

 

President of Republic calls for international action to confront Moroccan disregard to international efforts

Madrid, November 15, 2014 (SPS) -  The President of the Republic, Secretary General of the Polisario Front, Mohamed Abdelaziz, called Friday in Madrid foran international action to confront the Moroccan disregard to the international efforts, in his address at the opening of the 39th European Conference for Support and Solidarity with the Sahrawi People.

 

The President of the Republic considered the last speech of the Moroccan king Mohamed VI as an "encouragement of hostilities" and the consequences that may arise "are numerous and dangerous."

Madrid, November 15, 2014 (SPS) – The President of the Republic, Secretary General of the Polisario Front, Mohamed Abdelaziz, and the delegation accompanying him, met Friday at the headquarters of the Spanish House of Representatives with the members of the parliamentary group "peace and freedom for the Saharawi people", which includes many parties of solidarity with the struggle of the Sahrawi people for freedom and independence.

 

39th International Conference of EUCOCO 2014 opens in Madrid

Madrid, November 14, 2014 (SPS) - The President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Mohamed Abdelaziz, will inaugurate, Friday evening at the Faculty of Information Sciences at the Complutense University of Madrid, the 39th European Conference for coordination of support and solidarity with the Saharawi people (EUCOCO).

 

Besides the President of the Republic, the Conference willbe attended by Sahrawi government officials and Sahrawi ambassadors and delegates in other countries, in addition to human rights activists and defenders.

 

39 years of Madrid Accords signing

Madrid ,November 14, 2014 (SPS) - This Friday marks 39 years of the signing of the infamous Madrid Accords among Spain, Morocco and Mauritania of Ould Dadah. Under the agreement, the Saharawi people was divided into those who remained under occupation and those who fled under bombardment of the Moroccan aviation to find a safe refuge in the Saharawi refugee camps in Algeria.

 

Algerian Lower House to partake in 39th conference of EUCOCO

Algiers, November 14, 2014 (SPS) - Algerian National People's Assembly (Lower House of Parliament) will partake in 14 and 15 November in Madrid (Spain) in the 39th European Conference for coordination of support and solidarity with the Saharawi people (EUCOCO), said Thursday a statement of the lower house of parliament .

 

The conference will provide a forum for dialogue on solidarity with the Saharawi people in Spain and other countries of the world, the source added.

 

SADR takes part in General Conference on Land-Use Policies in Africa

Addis Ababa, November 13, 2014 (SPS) - The Saharawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR) took part in the work of the General Conference in Africa on "systematic policies for the optimal use of land for the benefit and welfare of African citizens ", held in Addis Ababa on November 11-14.

 

 The conference will address several issues related to policies of Member States in the optimal use of land and take advantage of them for the citizens of the African Continent.

 

Sahrawi cause should be beside Palestinian cause at Arab-African Dialogue (Minister of Algerian youth)

Algiers, November 11, 2014 (SPS) - Algerian Minister of Youth Mr. Abdelkader Khomri affirmed Tuesday in Algeria that the Sahrawi cause should be the basis of Arab-African Dialogue beside the Palestinian cause.

 

The Algerian minister stressed during the Second International Congress on Arab-African Youth Dialogue that the Sahrawi cause is a fact that cannot be ignored.

 

Algerian TAJ partyreasserts support of Saharawi people right to self-determination

Algiers, November 11, 2014 (SPS) - Algerian Minister of Transportation and Leader of the Rally of Algerian Hope (TAJ) Amar Ghul reiterated Tuesday in Algiers his party's position in support of the right of the Saharawi people to self-determination, during his speech in the Second International Conference on African-Arab Youth Dialogue.

 

Mr. Ghul stressed that no true African Union, cooperation or prosperity without the decolonization of Western Sahara.

 

Saharawi political prisonersentenced to 4 years in prison for participating in peaceful demonstration

Agadir (southern Morocco), November 11, 2014 (SPS) -  Saharawi political prisoner, Ali Gach, was sentenced Monday to a long term of four years imprisonment by the court of Agadir, Morocco, for his participation in a peaceful demonstration calling for the right of the Saharawi people in Tan Tan (southern Morocco), reported the Ministry of Occupied Territories and Saharawi Community Abroad.

 

International community is called to be "more clear" on question of Western Sahara (Mohamed Sidati)

 Paris, November 11, 2014 (SPS) - The international community should make more effort and be more clear, especially in light of recent statements by the King of Morocco Mohamed VI, who ignored the international community and tramples the Security Council and the General Assembly resolutions for the decolonization of Western Sahara, said the Minister of State for Europe, Mohamed Sidati in a statement to RFI.
