Pretoria (South Africa), October 19, 2022 (SPS) - The President of the Republic and the Secretary-General of the Polisario Front Mr. Brahim Ghali met today, with the ruling coalition in South Africa.
During the meeting, the political parties forming the ruling coalition in South Africa renewed their unconditional support for the Sahrawi people, stressing that the meeting was an opportunity to strengthen the strong relations that bind them with the Polisario Front, as well as to search for new mechanisms to raise awareness on the Sahrawi issue.

President Brahim Ghali, highlighted, during a press conference held equally with his South African counterpart, that the honorable position of South Africa towards the Sahrawi issue is not strange to people who struggled against colonialism and racial discrimination.

Luanda (Angola) October 18, 2022 (SPS) - The Ambassador of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic in Angola, Mr. Hamdi Khalil Mayara, was received by the Secretary of State for International Cooperation and Angolan Communities, Mr. Domingos Custódio Vieira Lopes.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed the historical bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries, the Sahrawi Republic and Angola, as well as ways to enhance and strengthen them to serve the interests of the two countries and peoples.

Gaborone (Botswana), 15 October 2022 (SPS) - President of Botswana, Mr. Mokgweetsi Masisi, has reaffirmed his country's historical position in support of the right of the Sahrawi people to self-determination, liberation and independence.
This came in a letter of reply addressed Friday by the President of Botswana to the President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Mr. Brahim Ghali, in which he reiterated his country's firm position in support of the right of the Sahrawi people to self-determination and independence.

New York (United Nations), 15 October 2022 (SPS) - The Polisario Front representative to the UN and coordinator with the MINURSO, Sidi Mohamed Omar, welcomed the adoption Friday by the Fourth Committee of the UN General Assembly, in charge of decolonization issues, of a resolution reaffirming the legal framework of the conflict in Western Sahara as a decolonization issue, considering it as a "strong setback for the Moroccan occupation regime and its attempts to change the legal nature of the Sahrawi cause.

Ethiopia supports Saharawi people’s “inalienable right to self-determination”

Youseph Kassaye, affirmed in his statement before the UN 4th Committee on Thursday, that Ethiopia stands firm in support to the inalienable right of the Saharawi people to self-determination.
“Ethiopia supports the inalienable right of the people of Western Sahara to Self determination in line with General Assembly resolution” he said.

Zimbabwe calls on the implementation of the OAU-UN settlement Plan to resolve the conflict in Western Sahara

New York (United Nations) 14 October 2022 (SPS)- Zimbabwe’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Ambassador A.R. Chimbindi,  called on the two parties to the conflict, Morocco and Polisario Front, to implement the OAU-UN Settlement Plan of 1991, in his statement before the UN 4th Committee on Decolonisation on Thursday.
“In the case of Western Sahara, my delegation urges both parties, Morocco and the Frente POLISARIO, to implement the commitments made under the 1988 UN-OAU Settlement Plan that was approved by the UN Security Council.” He said.

Namibia calls on the 4th Committee to send a visiting mission to Western Sahara to report on the situation on the ground

New York (United Nations) 14 October 2022 (SPS)- Namibia Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN, Ms. Helena Ndapewa Kusee, reiterated Namibia’s call to the UN General Assembly’s 4th Committee to send a visiting mission to the occupied territories of Western Sahara to report about the situation, in her country’s statement before the Committee on Thursday.
“We reiterate our long standing call for a visiting mission to Western Sahara to provide more accurate accounts of the situation on the ground,” she said.

The 17th edition of "Fi Sahara" opens in the Wilaya of Auserd

Ausard (Sahrawi Refugee Camps), October 14, 2022 (SPS) - The 17th edition of the International Film Festival in Western Sahara "Fi Sahara" has opened on Wednesday evening, with the participation of more than 200 participants from about 20 countries.
The opening ceremony was marked by the presence of the Minister of Culture, Al-Ghouth Mamouni, and members of the National Secretariat, the Government and the National Council, in addition to a large number of Sahrawi and foreign artists, politicians and human rights activists.
