Sahrawi Ambassador to Angola meets the Secretary of State for International Cooperation and Angolan Communities

Luanda (Angola) October 18, 2022 (SPS) - The Ambassador of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic in Angola, Mr. Hamdi Khalil Mayara, was received by the Secretary of State for International Cooperation and Angolan Communities, Mr. Domingos Custódio Vieira Lopes.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed the historical bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries, the Sahrawi Republic and Angola, as well as ways to enhance and strengthen them to serve the interests of the two countries and peoples.
The meeting also touched on the historical bilateral relations between the two movements, the Polisario Front and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Angola (MPLA), which is dated back to the time of the common struggle waged by Angola and which the Sahrawi Republic is still waging for freedom and independence.
The ambassador of the Sahrawi Republic also briefed his host on the latest developments in the Sahrawi cause at various levels, the latest of which was the positions expressed by many countries, including Angola, in order to support the cause of the Sahrawi people and their just struggle for freedom and independence, during the work of the Fourth Committee of the United Nations specialized on political issues and decolonization.
