Prophet David (Peace Be Upon Him), subject of 8th forum of Religions' Dialogue for Peace

Chahid Al Hafed (refugee camps), Nov 18, 2013 (SPS) - The Eighth Forum of the Religions’ Dialogue for Peace will kick off Sunday, November 24th, in the Wilaya of Boujdour, Saharawi refugee camps, according to the organizers.


This forum is jointly organized by the Saharawi Youth Union (UJSARIO) and U.S. Organization “Not Forgotten International”.


This year’s edition will be held under the title: “Biography of the Prophet David (Peace Be Upon Him) in the Holy Books.”

Peaceful march in occupied city of El Aaiun

El Aaiun (occupied territories), Nov 18, 2013 (SPS) - A peaceful march was organized Sunday evening in the occupied city of El Aaiun, capital of Western Sahara, by Gdeim Izik Coordination to denounce the pillaging of the Saharawi natural resources and call for the independence of Western Sahara, said a source of the Ministry of Occupied Territories and Diaspora.


This peaceful march started from Skeikima Street in El Aaiun and ended at Lahouham Mosque, said the source.

EUCOCO launches international campaign against Moroccan wall in Western Sahara

Rome, Nov 18, 2013 (SPS) - The 38th International Conference of Support for the Sahrawi People (known as; EUCOCO), held in Rome from 15 to 16 November 2013, launched an international campaign against the Moroccan wall in Western Sahara, according to a declaration issued at the end of this conference.

Algiers, Nov 17, 2013 (SPS) - Chairman of the Algerian National Consultative Commission for the Promotion and Protection of Human Rights (CNCPPDH), Farouk Ksentini, described Sunday as "unjustified" and " inappropriate" the election of Morocco to the Council of human Rights of the United Nations (UN).


"The election of Morocco to the UN Council of Human Rights is completely unjustified and totally inappropriate," said Mr. Ksentini, who was guest of the channel three of Algerian Radio.

EUCOCO 38th pays tribute to great advocate for Saharawi cause

Rome, Nov 16, 2013 (SPS) - A tribute was paid Saturday night in Rome to the Italian activist and advocate for the Saharawi cause, Marissa Rodana, by the participants of the 38th EUCOCO International Conference of Support for the Saharawi people, held Friday and Saturday.


At the end of the conference, the President of the EUCOCO Mr. Pierre Galand presented a bouquet of flowers to Ms. Rodana, 92 years.

Saharawi students launch international campaign against renewal of EU-Morocco’s fisheries pact

Algiers, Nov 16, 2013 (SPS) - Office of the Saharawi students studying in Algeria has launched an international campaign against the renewal of the EU-Moroccan fesheries pact, reported a Saharawi student source.


This campaign aims to call on the European Parliament to refrain from renewing the fishing agreement with Morocco, which includes the territorial waters of Western Sahara.

EUCOCO concludes its work and decides to hold next conference in Madrid

Rome, Nov 16, 2013 (SPS) - The 38th European Conference for Coordination and Support of Saharawi people (EUCOCO), held on 15-16 November in Rome, conluded few hours ago its work, by deciding to hold the 39th conference in Madrid next November.


The announcement was made at the closing ceremony of the 38th EUCOCO held Friday and Saturday in the Italian capital, in the presence of nearly 300 participants from twenty countries.
