Chahid Al Hafed (refugee camps), Nov 18, 2013 (SPS) - The Eighth Forum of the Religions’ Dialogue for Peace will kick off Sunday, November 24th, in the Wilaya of Boujdour, Saharawi refugee camps, according to the organizers.

This forum is jointly organized by the Saharawi Youth Union (UJSARIO) and U.S. Organization “Not Forgotten International”.

This year’s edition will be held under the title: “Biography of the Prophet David (Peace Be Upon Him) in the Holy Books.”

This annual event will be attended by about 120 Saharawi Imams and researchers, Imams from Algeria, bishops from eight U.S. states, in addition to representatives of churches and Christian research centers in Spain, Austria, Canada, South Africa and Turkey, revealed the Secretary General of the Saharawi Youth Union (UJSARIO) Mr. Mousa Selma.

Ahead of the Forum, the Saharawi Ministry of Justice and Religious Affairs hosted Monday a meeting devoted to the preparation for the Dialogue.

This meeting stressed the need for the success of this important international gathering, calling for providing all the possible conditions to achieve the desired goals of this Forum.

“Such meeting consolidates dialogue as a human principle between peoples and religions, and instills the idea of peaceful coexistence and constructive cooperation in championing the causes of oppressed peoples,” it added.

It is worth noting that the 7th Religions’ Dialogue for Peace was held November 2011 under the title “Prophet Moses (Peace Be Upon Him) in the Divine Religions”. (SPS)
