Paris, April 16,2016 (SPS) - France has a “key role” to play in the resolution of the conflict in Western Sahara, said Monday a French deputy from the socialist parliamentary group (Meurthe-et-Moselle), underlining that there “is no alternative to the total respect to the United Nations resolution 1514.”

Paris, April 16, 2016 (SPS) - Many Sahrawi nationals held Saturday in Paris a sit-in in Trocadero (Paris) near Morocco’s embassy in France to denounce “oppression” exerted by Moroccan authorities on the Sahrawi people since 40 years.
Raising the flag of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR), demonstrators chanted “No alternative to self-determination,” while denouncing the “oppression” exerted by Moroccan authorities against the Sahrawi people “in complicity” with France.

Shaheed El Hafed, April 16, 2016 (SPS) – The Ministry of Occupied Territories and Community Abroad sent Saturday a message of condolences to the family of Shaheed Ibrahim Sikka who died Friday in the Moroccan city of Agadir as a result of torture by the Moroccan security forces.

Washington (U.S.A), April 14, 2016 (SPS) - The use of torture and resort to arbitrary arrests by Moroccan authorities remain widespread in the occupied Sahrawi territories, denounced Wednesday the U.S. Department of State in its annual Report of Human Rights Practices in the World.
The document, devoted to Western Sahara, and which traces the violations of rights in the occupied territories in 2015, reports the proliferation of “inhuman and degrading treatment” on Sahrawi prisoners.
