Saharawi people attached to the right of self-determination and independence (human rights activist)

Boumerdas, August, 05, 2014 (SPS)- The Saharawi activist of human rights Salha Boutengiza said Tuesday morning that the Saharawi people in the occupied territories of Western Sahara and southern Morocco are adhered to the right to self-determination and independence, calling for the international community to work in order to finish the occupation from Western Sahara.

SADR Cadres Summer University: lecture on Western Sahara peaceful resistance

Boumerdes (Algeria), Aug 5, 2014 (SPS) - Work of the 5th edition of the Summer University of Cadres of the Frente Polisario and Saharawi Republic (SADR), held on the current August 3-23 in Boumerdes, continues for the 3rd consecutive day by presenting a lecture on the peaceful resistance in Western Sahara by the Saharawi activist Bachir Ismaeli.


The lecture was supervised by the Minister of Occupied Territories and Diaspora Mr. Mohamed El-Ouali Akeik, activist Bachir Ismaeli, Dr. Omar Sadug and Dr. Salah Saoud.

Family home of Sahrawi political prisoner besieged by Moroccan police in occupied El Aaiun

El Aaiun (Occupied Territories), August 2, 2014 (SPS) – The family home of Saharawi political prisoner Ghali Bouhella in the occupied city of El Aaiun was besieged by the Moroccan police to prevent organizing a ceremony to celebrate his release on Tuesday from the Moroccan local prison Ait Melloul, according to Saharawi human rights sources.

 

"Despite the police besiege, dozens of Saharawi citizens tried to access the place to attend the ceremony but they were prevented by the Moroccan police," added the source.

 

Italian Parliament reaffirms support to Saharawi people’sright to self-determination

Rome, August 1, 2014 (SPS) - The President of the Italian Parliament, Laura Boldrini, reiterated Thursday the support to the right of the Saharawi people to self-determination and freedom, during a  reception to group of Saharawi children at the headquarters of the House of the Representatives.

 

The President of the Chamber of Deputies recalled that she knows the suffering of the Sahrawi refugees, hoping that the UN fulfills its obligations to ensure the needs of these children.

 

President of Republic receives congratulatory letter from Algerian counterpart

Chahid Al hafed (refugee camps), July 31, 2014 (SPS) - President of the Republic, Secretary General of the Frente Polisario Mr. Mohamed Abdelaziz has received a letter of congratulation from his Algerian counterpart, Abdelaziz Bouteflika, on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr.


President Bouteflika expressed, on behalf of the Algeria government and people and on his own behalf, “warmest congratulations and best wishes” for the Saharawi president and people as a whole.

Canary solidarity movement calls for legitimate rights of Saharawi people

President of Republic condoles Algerian President following tragic incident that killed Algerian passengers

Birlehlu,  July 25, 2014 (SPS) - President of the Republic,  Secretary General of the Polisario Front  Mr. Mohamed Abdelaziz sent Friday  a message of condolence to Algerian President Mr. Abdelaziz Bouteflika, following the crash of  the Spanish plane leased by Air Algerie in its journey between Ouagadougou and Algiers, on Thursday, leaving 116 victims of different nationalities, including Algerian passengers.
