El Aaiun (Occupied Territories), August 2, 2014 (SPS) – The family home of Saharawi political prisoner Ghali Bouhella in the occupied city of El Aaiun was besieged by the Moroccan police to prevent organizing a ceremony to celebrate his release on Tuesday from the Moroccan local prison Ait Melloul, according to Saharawi human rights sources.

"Despite the police besiege, dozens of Saharawi citizens tried to access the place to attend the ceremony but they were prevented by the Moroccan police," added the source.

"This is the second time in less than a month that the Moroccan authorities prevent a family of released Sahrawi political prisoner to organize a welcoming ceremony," indicated the source. On July 12, the Moroccan authorities had forbidden in the occupied city of El Aaiun a welcoming ceremony held on the occasion of the release of political prisoner Sidi Mohamed Sebai Djemmour," recalled the same source.
