Copenhagen (Denmark) 15 June 2016 (SPS) - The Danish parliament has recently unanimously passed a motion that urges Danish companies and the Danish public sector not to trade with Western Sahara. Danish MPs tell companies to avoid Africa's last colony.
 

The UN Security Council must assume its responsibilities towards the Saharawi people, brahim Gali

Chahid El Hafed,  June 15, 2016 (SPS) - the responsible of  the political organization, a member of the National Secretariat Mr. Brahim Gali said on Wednesday that "the UN Security Council must assume its historical responsibility towards the Saharawi people", and work to ensure the solution enabling the Saharawi people to decide their destiny through referendum of self-determination.

Chahid El-Hafed (Saharawi refugee camps), June 14, 2016 (SPS) -The Preparatory committee of the Extraordinary Congress of the Polisario Front, "Martyr Mohamed Abdelaziz Congress" today holds a session chaired by the President of the Republic, Mr. Jatri Adduh.
This session is devoted to discuss the reports of commissions and distribution of its regulations and the Internal Regulations to all members of the Commission.
 

Cancellation of EU-Morocco agricultural agreement: CJEU facing credibility test

Algiers, June 13, 2016 (SPS) - Sahrawi Foreign Minister Mohamed Salem Ould Salek revealed Sunday that the first hearing at the appeal trial on the decision of the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) on the cancellation of the EU-Morocco agricultural agreement will be held on July 19, adding that the CJEU will face a tough test to affirm its credibility.

New Saharawi Ambassador presents his credentials to Angolan President

Luanda, June 11, 2016 (SPS) - New Sahrawi Ambassador Bah Mohamed Sheikh Deih handed Thursday his letters of credentials to the Angolan president, Mr. Eduardo Dos Santos, in his capacity as an ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR) to the Republic of Angola.
On this occasion, the Angolan President expressed "profound" regret for the loss of the late Sahrawi President Mohamed Abdelaziz, conveying his condolences to the Saharawi people and the family of the deceased.

Germany donates € 1 million to Sahrawi refugees

Algiers, June 09, 2016 (SPS) – Germany approved € 1 million in humanitarian aid to the Sahrawi refugees so to meet the urgent needs in food and improve health care, said Wednesday Germany Embassy to Algiers in a communiqué.
"Germany has allocated 1 million Euros in humanitarian aid to each of the World Food Program projects (WFP) and the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR)," said the embassy in a statement received by APS.

MEP Paloma Lopez denounces “systematic violations” of Sahrawi people’s rights by Morocco

Brussels June 09 2016 (SPS) - Spanish member of the European Parliament Paloma Lopez denounced Thursday the “systematic violations” of human rights that the Moroccan occupying forces are committing in the occupied territories of Western Sahara to repress the Sahrawi citizens claiming their social, economic and political rights.
This member of Parliament expressed her indignation at the “the violent suppression” against Sahrawi demonstrators in search of social justice and condemning the assassination of Sahrawi trade unionist Brahim Saika.
