Moroccan authorities of occupation arrest Saharawi journalist

El Aaiun (occupied territories), July 31, 2012 (SPS) - The Saharawi journalist Abdrabu Badi was arrested late in yesterday’s night by Moroccan policemen wearing civil clothes in the occupied city of El Aaiun, capital of Western Sahara, informed the Executive Office of the Collective of Saharawi Defenders of Human Rights (CODESA).

El Aaiun (occupied territories), July 31, 2012 (SPS) - The Saharawi citizen Ms. Lala Bakay, 68 years, died Tuesday in the occuoied city of El Aaiun around 01:00 in the morning due to serious injuries at the level of head, after a car of the Moroccan police run over her, according to a statement of the Executive Bureau of the Collective of Saharawi Defenders of Human Rights (CODESA).

Turkish delegation visits Saharawi refugee camps

Shaheed Al hafed (refugee camps), July 30, 2012 (SPS) - At the invitation of the Saharawi Red Crescent, a Turkish delegation of Friendship Stone’s Charity Association is making a working and solidarity visit to the Saharawi refugee camps lasts three days to preview conditions of the Saharawi refugees.


The delegation expected to visit some Wilayas and municipalities of the Saharawi Republic, and will have meetings with officials and citizens, according to a statement of the Saharawi Red Crescent.

ACHPR calls on Morocco to allow fact-finding mission to Sahrawi occupied territories

Algiers, July 29, 2012 (SPS) - The African Commission on Human and People’s Rights (ACHPR) officially called on Morocco to allow a fact-finding mission to visit the occupied territories of Western Sahara and to inquire about the situation of human rights, the Algerian National Committee for Support to Saharawi People (CNASPS) said Sunday in Algiers.

Madrid, July 29, 2012 (SPS) - “Polisario Front has no idea about any imminent danger against the humanitarian aid workers in the Saharawi refugee camps,” the POLISARIO Representative to Spain, Mr. Bachraya Bayun, told Saturday Spanish Radio “Cadena SER”, highlighting “there is no justification explains Spanish government’s decision to repatriate the cooperators from the camps.”

In his speech on the occasion, President of Republic emphasized that improving the noble tasks of the Institution “depends on the cooperation and collective integration.”

Saharawi Government condemns the Morocco’s intransigence

Shaheed Elhafed (Refugee Camps)July 26, 2012 (SPS) - The Saharawi government has denounced on Wednesday  Morocco's intransigence which hinders the UN efforts, said statement issued by a meeting of the Council of Ministers.

 

The Council of Ministers discussed the visit of UN Special Representative Wolfgang Weisbrod-Weber to the parties of the conflict, recalling the Moroccan refuse to cooperate with Personal Envoy of the UN Secretary-General, Ambassador Christopher Ross.
