Algiers, July 24, 2024 (SPS) - The Sahrawi ambassador to Algeria, Member of the National Secretariat Abdelkader Taleb Omar, stressed that the Sahrawi people are determined to continue the struggle against the Moroccan occupation until independence is achieved and sovereignty is completed over all the territory of the Sahrawi Republic, praising Algeria's role in defending just causes in Africa and the world in various international forums.

Minister of Public Health receives specialists in the field of mental health and human rights

Shaheed Al-Hafid, July 24, 2024 (SPS) - The Minister of Public Health, Mr. Salek Baba Hassana, received on Monday, specialists in the field of mental health and human rights from the Hegoa organization.

The meeting discussed some projects related to supporting and strengthening the role of mental health in health institutions and units. It also addressed the consolidation of the culture of mental health and human rights by conducting several trainings and workshops in this field.

The military communiqué issued by the Central Directorate of the Political Commissariat of the Sahrawi People's Liberation Army indicated that SPLA detachments carried out Monday a concentrated bombardment, targeting the artillery of the Moroccan occupation army in the Gelta sector.

Sahrawi children welcomed in Fuerteventura

Puerto del Rosario (Canary Islands), July 23, 2024 (SPS) - The authorities of the Puerto Rosario City Council, led by the mayor, David de Vera, the First Deputy Mayor, Juan Jiménez, together with the host families, welcomed the Sahrawi girls and boys, as part of the Vacations in Peace  program.

Bir Lehlou (Liberated Territories), July 22, 2024 (SPS) - Advanced detachments of the Sahrawi People's Liberation Army (SPLA) targeted a Moroccan military base in the Mahbes sector.

The military communiqué issued by the Central Directorate of the Political Commissariat  of the Sahrawi People's Liberation Army indicated that advanced detachments carried out a concentrated bombardment targeting a base of the Moroccan Royal Army in the Mahbes sector, causing heavy losses among the ranks of the Moroccan army.

President Brahim Ghali Chairs evaluative meeting on educational system

In his opening speech to South Africa’s parliament, President Cyril Ramaphosa said, “We stand in solidarity with the peoples of Western Sahara and Palestine who are still being denied their right to self-determination.”

Ms Shaba Seiny met with members of the National Office of the Association of Algerian Muslim Scholars, and the discussion focused on the Sahrawi  issue and the role of the Sahrawi women, who is considered one of the pillars of Sahrawi society and who has played a major role in building the institutions of the Sahrawi state.

Managua (Nicaragua), July 21, 2024 (SPS) - The participants in the International Trade Union Forum organized by the Sandinista Workers' Central in Nicaragua, from July 16 to 19, affirmed their support for the inalienable right of the Sahrawi people to self-determination and independence.

The participants in the international forum held in Managua, in their statement, called for the necessity of organizing the referendum approved by the United Nations in Western Sahara, which guarantees the legitimate and inalienable rights of the Sahrawi people.

Cerriale (Italy), July 19, 2024 (SPS) - Mayor of Cerriale, Roberto Papagallo, welcomed Friday a group of Sahrawi children who are spending their summer holidays in the city.

The reception ceremony, held in honor of the Sahrawi peace ambassadors at the city hall, was attended by the president of the host association, Sara Scudero, and members of the association.

The Mayor of Cerriale extended a special welcome to the Sahrawi children, expressing his happiness at their presence in Cerriale and wishing them a happy stay in the city.

Boumerdes (Algeria), July 18, 2024 (SPS) - The National Union of Sahrawi Women signed a cooperation and partnership agreement with the Algerian National Association for the Support and Promotion of Rural Women.

The agreement, which was concluded on the sidelines of the Summer University for Sahrawi Cadres in the Algerian wilaya of Boumerdes, was signed on the Sahrawi side by the Secretary-General of the National Union of Sahrawi Women, Ms. Shaba Seini, and on the Algerian side by the President of the Association, Ms. Ben Joudi Dalila.
