Sahrawi children welcomed in Fuerteventura

Puerto del Rosario (Canary Islands), July 23, 2024 (SPS) - The authorities of the Puerto Rosario City Council, led by the mayor, David de Vera, the First Deputy Mayor, Juan Jiménez, together with the host families, welcomed the Sahrawi girls and boys, as part of the Vacations in Peace  program.

The mayor welcomed the children and expressed his pleasure at the collaboration and the solidarity of the Canarian citizens who demonstrate empathy with the Sahrawi people and their cause year after year.

During this period, these young Sahrawi ambassadors will foster ties of friendship with the host families, have the opportunity to improve their Spanish and attend medical appointments.
