Birlehlu (Liberated Territories), September 30, 2014 (SPS) - Polisario Front has condemned the "deliberate assassination" of Saharawi human rights activist Hasnet El-Wali in Dakhla, a town under Moroccan occupation, dubbing it a "cowardly, criminal act, said a communiqué by the Saharawi Republic presidency.

"Martyr Hasnet El-Wali was a victim of a deliberate and premeditated cowardly, criminal act," the source said.

Dakhla (Occupied Territories), September 30, 2014 (SPS) - Angry but peaceful protests have been recorded Monday in the occupied town of Dakhla, following the announcement of the death of Saharawi political prisoner, member of the Saharawi Association Against Torture, Hasnet El-Wali, at the local military hospital, because of medical negligence.

Peaceful demonstrations have been staged in different streets of the city to condemn the crime, which further extends the list of crimes perpetrated by the Moroccan regime against Saharawi people.

Dakhla (Occupied Territories) September 29, 2014 (SPS) - The occupied city of Dakhla has become under an unprecedented state of siege since the early hours of Monday, following the death of Sahrawi political prisoner Hasena Elwali Aleya.

The city also witnesses popular peaceful demonstrations after the announcement of the death of Sahrawi political prisoner due to his deteriorating health as a result of medical negligence, according to his family.

Dakhla (Occupied Territories), September 29, 2014 (SPS) - Saharawi political prisoner and human rights activist, Hasena Elwali Aleya, died Sunday night at a military hospital in the occupied city of Dakhla, where he had been admitted due to his "critical" health conditions, as a result of medical negligence.

Martyr Hasena Aleya suffered of a critical condition for some time in his cell in prison before being transferred to a hospital in the occupied city of Elaiun, where he was denied proper medical treatment.

New York, Sept 26, 2014 (SPS) - President of the United Republic of Tanzania, H.E. Mr. Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete, on Thursday reiterated his appeal to the Security Council of the United Nations Organization to resolve the question of Western Sahara.


In his address at the general debate of the 69th session of the UN General Assembly, Mr. Kikwete reiterated the appeal his country (Tanzania) made last year at the UNGA to the United Nations Security Council “to do everything within its powers to resolve this problem once and for all.”

Nouakchott, Sept 23, 2014 (SPS) - The Saharawi Republic (SADR) will partake in parliamentary meetings on the legal mechanisms of the African Union (AU), to be hosted by Nouakchott, capital of Mauritania, on 24-26 September 2014.


SADR will be represented at this meeting by a delegation, led by the Minister of Justice and Religious Affairs Mr. Hamada Selma.


The meeting will tackle the domestication of AU legal instruments and ratification of the AU legal mechanisms.

Chahid Al Hafed (refugee camps), Sept 23, 2014 (SPS) - Saharawi Red Crescent (SRC) has appealed to the donor countries, international organizations, NGOs, associations of friendship and civil societies across the globe to provide “urgent humanitarian aid” to the victims of the heavy rainfall and strong winds, hit the Saharawi refugee camps on Sunday.

Wilaya of Elaaiun (Refugee Camps), September 22, 2014 (SPS) - A heavy rainfall and strong winds on Sunday evening hit the Wilaya of Elaaiun in the refugee camps, close to the Algerian town of Tindouf, causing human and material losses.  

According to a statement of the Ministry of Interior, 10 citizens have been injured, 3 of them in serious conditions are being now treated in hospital.   

Concerning the material losses, the source indicated that 1400 tents were destroyed in addition to a similar number of mud houses as a result.

More than 10.000 British delegates belonging to various branches of the Labor Party and 300 from other parties, organizations and personalities friends of the Labour Party are participating in the Conference.
