Reception in occupied El Aaiun honoring released Saharawi political prisoner

El Aaiun (occupied territories), June 23, 2012 (SPS) - The Saharawi masse of occupied El Aaiun have organized a reception on honour of the Saharawi political prisoner Sarir Abd Al-Mutaleb, who released after a month of detention in Black Prison on charges of assaulting a security officer, as informed a source of the Ministry of Occupied Territories and Communities Abroad.


Moroccan forces of occupation have surrounded house of the released prisoner family’s house since Friday, where the reception took place.

Saharawi delegation takes part at People’s Summit of Brazil

Brazil, June 23, 2012 (SPS) - Saharawi delegation has participated at the works and workshops of People’s Summit that took place 20-22 June in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in parallel to the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development (Rio+20), being held after 20 years of first Earth Summit in 1992 at the same city.
The Saharawi delegation included, Mr. Hamdi Abaiha, Ambassador in mission in Brazil and Mr. Karim Lagdef, from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Three Saharawi political prisoners in Moroccan prison start warning hunger strike

 AitMelloul(Morocco) June22, 2012(SPS) the Saharawi political prisoners, Yahyam Mohamed Alhafed Iaza, Chikh Amidan and Isa Buda, Thursday started limited hunger strike for 48 hours in the Moroccan prison of Ait Melloulto protest against discrimination that practiced by prison’s administration and to express solidarity with the Saharawi political prisoner, Sahel Rtimi, who is in unlimited hunger strike in the same prison, according to Saharawi judicial sources.

US Department of State swipes at Morocco for human trafficking

Washington  (United States) June21,2012(SPS) - US Department of State severly criticized Morocco for the scale of human trafficking affecting Moroccan men, women and children, victims of forced labor and sex trafficking, not only in their country but also in Europe and the Middle East.
 

In a 2012 world report on Trafficking in Persons, the Department of State stressed that Morocco "is a source, destination, and transit country for men, women and children who are subjected to forced labour and sex trafficking."
 

Austrian parliamentary committee urges foreign Minister to push Morocco to respect human rights in Western Sahara

Vienna, June21, 2012(SPS) the foreign affairs committee in the Austrian parliament, Tuesday, adopted recommendation presented by representatives of the Democratic Socialist Party, the People’s party and the Greens party, urged the Foreign Minister to work on the European level to push Moroccan government to respect human rights in the occupied territories of Western Sahara and to open the territory before international organizations and media.
 

President of Republic invited to pay a visit to Tanzania

Bir Lahlu (liberated territories)June20,2012(SPS) President of the Republic and Secretary General of the Polisario Front, Mohamed Abdel Aziz, received an official invitation from President of Tanzania ,Jakaya,Mrisho,Kikwete, to pay an official visit to the United  Republic of Tanzania.
 

“It gives me great pleasure to extend this invitation on behalf of the Government and the people of the United Republic of Tanzania, to your Excellency, to pay an official visit to Tanzania” said President Jakaya, in a message to his counterpart Mohamed Abdelaziz.
 

Algerian, Sahrawi associations sign two cooperation agreements

Delegation of National Council received by President of Algerian National Popular Assembly

Algiers, June 19, 2012 (SPS) - The President of the Algerian National Popular Assembly (NPA) , Mohamed Larbi Ould Khalifa, recived Tuesday in Algiers a delegation from the Saharawi National Council (SNC) led by its President, Mr. Khatri Aduh.

Speaking to reporters, Khatri Addouh said his meeting with Mr. Khalifa was an opportunity to discuss the historical bilateral bonds of friendship between the two brotherly peoples as well as to promote the parliamentarian cooperation between the two countries.

Morocco uses civilian militias to "spread terror" among the Saharawi citizens, underlines Prime Minister

February 27th School (Refugee Camps), June 19, 2012 (SPS) -Morocco has recently used  civilian militias to "spread terror" among the Saharawi citizens in the occupied territories of Western Sahara, said Monday the Prime Minister, Abdelkader Taleb Omar.

 

In his speech an international conference on Saharawi  children's rights, Prime Minister  said that Morocco uses these militias because of criticism from international organizations for their flagrant violations of human rights in occupied Western Shara.

Florence Conference denounces Morocco’s occupation and human rights violations in Western Sahara
