Algeria: National Liberation Front Party “FLN” organizes solidarity symposium with Sahrawi people

Algiers, August 09, 2024 (SPS) - The Algerian National Liberation Front Party organized a solidarity symposium with the Sahrawi people at the party's headquarters in Algiers, in the presence of a significant number of party officials and cadres.

During the symposium, participants expressed their strong condemnation of the French government's biased position towards the Moroccan thesis and the policy of expansion in Western Sahara, stressing that the old-new position taken by France will not change the legal nature of the Sahrawi issue.

According to the military communiqué issued by the Central Directorate of the Political Prefecture of the Sahrawi People's Liberation Army, advanced units of SPLA carried out on Tuesday, concentrated bombardments targeting a hostile Moroccan military base twice in a row in the Aaghed Araghan area in the Mahbes sector.

Lamin Baali, in his capacity as Dean of the North African Group, deposited the candidacy file for Morocco’s nominee for the position of Deputy Chairperson of the African Union Commission. The elections for the leadership of the Union are scheduled to take place during the summit in February 2025.
