New York (UN), June 14, 2024 (SPS) - Latin American countries reiterated their unwavering support for the Sahrawi people's right to self-determination and independence during statements delivered at the thematic session of the Special Committee on the Implementation of the Declaration on the Granting of Independence to Colonial Peoples (the Committee of 24), which began its work on Monday at UN Headquarters in New York.

Occupied El Aaiun, 10 June 2024 (SPS) - The Sahrawi Association for Victims of Serious Human Rights Violations Committed by the Moroccan State called on the United Nations and the Security Council to assume their responsibilities regarding the "repressive policies, torture, and daily violence and work" that Sahrawi civilians are subjected to in the occupied part of Western Sahara and Moroccan universities, and to force the Moroccan occupation regime to respect international legitimacy.

Deterioration of health condition of Sahrawi civilian prisoner

Ait Melloul, June 05, 2024 (SPS) – The Sahrawi civilian prisoner within the Gdeim Izik Group, Ibrahim Dadi Ismaili was transferred by the administration of the Ait Melloul2 prison to the hospital due to his deteriorating health condition, but he didn’t receive any medical treatment or examinations, reported the Association for the Protection of Sahrawi Prisoners in Moroccan Prisons.

Luanda (Angola), 1 June 2024 (SPS) - Sahrawi Ambassador to the Republics of Angola and Namibia, Mr. Hamdi Khalil Miara, was received Friday by the Angolan Foreign Minister, Mr. Téte António, at the Angolan Ministry of Foreign Affairs headquarters in Luanda.

According to a statement issued by the Angolan Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the talks focused on issues and related to bilateral cooperation between the Republic of Angola and the Sahrawi Republic, in addition to renewing common positions on a number of continental and regional issues.
