Oran (Algeria), August 26, 2024 (SPS) - The Algerian President, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, stressed the support for the Sahrawi people and its right to freedom and self-determination, emphasizing his conviction in the victory of the Sahrawi cause, during an electoral gathering in the Wilaya of Oran.

The Algerian President, addressing thousands of Algerians, highlighted that Algeria will not abandon Western Sahara and the Sahrawi Republic, saying the Sahrawi State will be established.

Algiers, 26 August 2024 (SPS) - The scandal of Morocco in the Japanese capital during the Ministerial Meeting of the Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD) has provoked the hysteria of the Makhzen regime and its press, which has given free rein to its illusions by engaging in propaganda of a fictitious victory that the kingdom would have achieved through a supposed exclusion of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR) from participation in the Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) scheduled for September 5-6, 2024 in Beijing.

Berlin hosts art exhibition presenting Sahrawi cause

Berlin (Germany), August 26, 2024 (SPS) - The Cultural Exchange Center in Berlin hosted an art exhibition that introduces the culture and traditions of the Sahrawi people, by the Sahrawi artist Walad Mohamed Mahmoud.

The exhibition titled "Sirocco: From El Aaiun to Berlin" is part of the cultural week to raise awareness about the Sahrawi cause, and will continue until August 29th. It is an important artistic and cultural stop to introduce the cause of the Sahrawi people through the lens of art.

Tokyo, 25 August 2024 (SPS) - The participants in the ministerial meeting of the Tokyo International Conference on Africa’s Development (TICAD) have settled the issue of the participation in TICAD meetings in favor of the Sahrawi side after the Moroccan diplomacy’s demands failed to exclude the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR) from this meeting.

TICAD’s ministerial meeting wrapped up Today with the adoption of a joint statement in which the participants ruled in favor of the Sahrawi party’s participation in the TICAD meetings.

Screening of film "Life Waits" in Berlin

A large audience attended the event, showing great interest in the Sahrawi cause. The film recalls the Sahrawis' ongoing struggle for freedom and independence over decades.

Tokyo (Japan) 25 August 2024 (SPS)- The ministerial meeting of the Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD) concluded today with the adoption of a final communiqué that isolates Morocco and confirms the right of all African Union member states to participate.

The final communiqué reaffirmed the right of all “African Union Member States" to participate in TICAD meetings, leaving Morocco isolated as the only country opposing this decision.

Tokyo (Japan), August 23, 2024 (SPS) - A member of the Moroccan diplomatic delegation participating in the preparatory experts' meeting for the TICAD summit in Tokyo this morning attempted to physically assault the Sahrawi Republic's Permanent Representative to the African Union, Amb. Lamin Baali. The ambassador was participating in the meeting alongside his colleagues from member states of the Union. The assailant was apprehended and removed from the meeting hall by protocol and security staff.

Tokyo (Japan), August 23, 2024 (SPS) - The African Union and TICAD experts' meeting began this morning in the Japanese capital Tokyo, in preparation for the ministerial meeting, with the participation of the Sahrawi delegation.

During the opening and while the Japan’s representative in the meeting was giving his statement, the Moroccan delegation tried to physically attack the Sahrawi ambassador to prevent Sahrawi participation and ruin the meeting.
