Pretoria (South Africa) 06 September 2024 (SPS)- The ruling coalition parties in South Africa organized a solidarity seminar today, Friday, at the headquarters of the Education and Health Workers' Union, in collaboration with the Sahrawi embassy in Pretoria, urging the United Nations to expedite the decolonization of Western Sahara through a referendum for the Sahrawi people and to end the last chapter of colonialism on the African continent.

Kiel (Germany) - The office of the Polisario Front in Germany organized a lecture titled "Colonial Violence and International Indifference: Arms Deals for Morocco and the Suffering of the Sahrawi People."

This event is part of a wide-ranging awareness campaign aimed at highlighting the Sahrawi cause and garnering more international support.

Maranhão State (Brazil), September 5, 2024 (SPS) - The representative of the Polisario Front in Brazil, Ahmed Moulay Ali, made an official visit to the Brazilian state of Maranhão, during which he held meetings with state authorities that resulted in the establishment of the Maranhão Association for Solidarity with the Sahrawi Republic.

Bir Lahlou (liberated territories), September 4, 2024 (SPS) - Units of the Sahrawi Popular Liberation Army (SPLA) have targeted the strongholds and positions of the Moroccan occupation army in the El Bekkari sector, the Central Directorate of the Political Commissariat of the Sahrawi Army indicatewd in its military communiqué.

"Advanced detachments of the Sahrawi Popular Liberation Army targeted, on Tuesday, the Aglibat Laakaya region in the El Bekkari sector with intense bombardments," said the military communiqué.

Bali (Indonesia), September 3, 2024 (SPS) -  Algeria's Minister of Knowledge Economy, Startups, and Micro-Enterprises, Yassine Walid, emphasized the importance of highlighting the suffering of the people of Western Sahara during the opening session of the Indonesia-Africa Forum held Monday in the Indonesian capital, Bali. He noted that this is an issue that deserves special attention from the international community.

Florence (Italy), 2 September (SPS) - The Daira of Mahbes in the wilaya of Smara (Sahrawi refugee camps) has renewed its twinning agreement with its counterpart, Sesto Fiorentino, in Tuscany, Italy.

The mayor of Sesto Fiorentino decided Sunday to renew the twinning with the Daira of Mahbes in in the wilaya of Smara, in the Sahrawi refugee camps, at the municipality's headquarters.

The signing ceremony was attended by the mayor of Sesto Fiorentino, as well as the representative of the Polisario Front in Italy and the Sahrawi representative in Tuscany.

Bali (Indonesia), 2 September 2024 (SPS)  - Speaker of the Algerian Council of the Nation (Parliament’s upper house) Salah Goudjil noted on Sunday the Security Council’s responsibility to protect the Palestinian people, calling for speeding up decolonization of Western Sahara, the last colony in Africa.

Shaheed El Hafed, September 1, 2024 (SPS)- Union of Sahrawi Students (UESARIO) and the Revolutionary Organization for a New Democracy in Niger held a meeting, which considered highly important in the history of the organization and its relations with Sahel countries.

The meeting, organized today Saturday, featured fruitful discussions on the necessity of joint cooperation and expanding the horizons of the relationship between the two parties.

Bir Lehlu (liberated territories), August 31, 2024 (SPS) - Continuing the liberation war waged by our army, the Sahrawi People's Liberation Army (SPLA) continued its shelling, targeting the enemy's positions along the Wall of Shame and Humiliation.

In this context, the military statement issued by the Central Directorate for Political Commissariat of the Sahrawi People's Liberation Army clarified that SPLA advanced units carried out concentrated shelling today, Sunday, targeting two military bases in the Laakad area of the Mahbes sector.

Dili (East Timor), August 31, 2024 (SPS) – Mr. Brahim Ghali, the President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, concluded his visit to the Democratic Republic of East Timor, invited by his Timorese counterpart, Mr. Ramos Horta.

On the last day of the visit, the President, along with the guests of the Timorese people, including the Secretary-General of the United Nations, attended the official closing celebration marking the 25th anniversary of the self-determination referendum, which led to East Timor's independence on August 30, 1999.

Ljubljana (Slovenia), 31 August 2024 (SPS) – The Republic of Slovenia issued a communiqué in which Slovenia's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mrs. Tanja Fajon, reaffirmed her country's support for the Sahrawi people's inalienable right to self-determination, in line with international legality as determined by the United Nations General Assembly and Security Council resolutions.

Dili (Timor-Leste) - August 31, 2024 (SPS) - On the sidelines of his participation in the 25th anniversary of the referendum for self-determination in Timor-Leste, President of the Republic, Secretary General of the Polisario Front, Brahim Ghali, met Friday with Mr. António Guterres, the Secretary-General of the United Nations.

Bir Lahlu, 31 August 2024 (SPS) - President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Brahim Ghali, stated that the brutal assault by the Moroccan occupation on dozens of homes inhabited by Sahrawi families in the outskirts of the occupied city of El Aaiun represents a "serious escalation" in the scorched-earth policy pursued by the Moroccan occupying state against the Sahrawis in the occupied Sahrawi territories.
