Pretoria (South Africa) 06 September 2024 (SPS)- The ruling coalition parties in South Africa organized a solidarity seminar today, Friday, at the headquarters of the Education and Health Workers' Union, in collaboration with the Sahrawi embassy in Pretoria, urging the United Nations to expedite the decolonization of Western Sahara through a referendum for the Sahrawi people and to end the last chapter of colonialism on the African continent.

Lecture on suffering of Sahrawi people  in Germany

Kiel (Germany) - The office of the Polisario Front in Germany organized a lecture titled "Colonial Violence and International Indifference: Arms Deals for Morocco and the Suffering of the Sahrawi People."

This event is part of a wide-ranging awareness campaign aimed at highlighting the Sahrawi cause and garnering more international support.

SPLA targets Moroccan occupation forces in El Bekkari sector

Bir Lahlou (liberated territories), September 4, 2024 (SPS) - Units of the Sahrawi Popular Liberation Army (SPLA) have targeted the strongholds and positions of the Moroccan occupation army in the El Bekkari sector, the Central Directorate of the Political Commissariat of the Sahrawi Army indicatewd in its military communiqué.

"Advanced detachments of the Sahrawi Popular Liberation Army targeted, on Tuesday, the Aglibat Laakaya region in the El Bekkari sector with intense bombardments," said the military communiqué.

Bir Lahlou (Liberated Territories), 3 September (SPS) - Advanced detachments of the Sahrawi People's Liberation Army (SPLA) have targeted strongholds of Moroccan occupation forces in the Haouza sector, inflicting "heavy human and material losses," according to a military communiqué of the Political Commissariat of the SPLA.

Renewal of twinning agreement between Daira of Mahbes and municipality of Sesto Fiorentino, Italy

Florence (Italy), 2 September (SPS) - The Daira of Mahbes in the wilaya of Smara (Sahrawi refugee camps) has renewed its twinning agreement with its counterpart, Sesto Fiorentino, in Tuscany, Italy.

The mayor of Sesto Fiorentino decided Sunday to renew the twinning with the Daira of Mahbes in in the wilaya of Smara, in the Sahrawi refugee camps, at the municipality's headquarters.

The signing ceremony was attended by the mayor of Sesto Fiorentino, as well as the representative of the Polisario Front in Italy and the Sahrawi representative in Tuscany.

Algeria advocates for decolonization of Western Sahara

Bir Lehlu (liberated territories), August 31, 2024 (SPS) - Continuing the liberation war waged by our army, the Sahrawi People's Liberation Army (SPLA) continued its shelling, targeting the enemy's positions along the Wall of Shame and Humiliation.

In this context, the military statement issued by the Central Directorate for Political Commissariat of the Sahrawi People's Liberation Army clarified that SPLA advanced units carried out concentrated shelling today, Sunday, targeting two military bases in the Laakad area of the Mahbes sector.

President Brahim Ghali attends official celebration of 25th anniversary of self-determination referendum in East Timor

Dili (East Timor), August 31, 2024 (SPS) – Mr. Brahim Ghali, the President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, concluded his visit to the Democratic Republic of East Timor, invited by his Timorese counterpart, Mr. Ramos Horta.

On the last day of the visit, the President, along with the guests of the Timorese people, including the Secretary-General of the United Nations, attended the official closing celebration marking the 25th anniversary of the self-determination referendum, which led to East Timor's independence on August 30, 1999.
