Caracas (Venezuela), September 12, 2024 (SPS) - The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Mr. Ivan Gil, received the Minister Counselor at the Presidency in charge of diplomatic affairs, Mr. Mohamed Salem Ould Salek, who conveyed a message from Mr. Brahim Ghali, the President of the Republic, Secretary General of the Polisario Front, to his Venezuelan counterpart, Mr. Nicolás Maduro.

AFASPA criticizes French President's support for Morocco's so-called autonomy plan

Paris, 12 September 2024 (SPS) - Michèle Decaster, the Secretary General of the French Association of Friendship and Solidarity with the Peoples of Africa (AFASPA), criticized French President Emmanuel Macron's support for Morocco's so-called autonomy plan for Western Sahara, stating that not only does "Macron not break with France's colonial history," but he "also serves the commercial interests of business circles."

Ambassador to Algeria discusses strengthening bilateral relations with Nicaraguan counterpart

Algiers, September 11, 2024 (SPS) - Sahrawi Ambassador to Algeria, Abdelkader Taleb Omar, met with the Nicaraguan ambassador accredited to Algeria and the Sahrawi Republic, Carlos Eduardo Diaz Morera.

The meeting, held at the Sahrawi embassy in Algeria, focused on the bilateral relations between the Sahrawi Republic and the Republic of Nicaragua, exploring avenues for their development across various sectors.

The Sahrawi Republic has maintained diplomatic relations with Nicaragua at the embassy level for several years.

Geneva Group calls for accelerating settlement of  Sahrawi and Palestinian issues based on law and international legitimacy

Geneva, 11 September 2024 (SPS) - Participants in a conference  organized by the Geneva Group, supporting Western Sahara, called for the urgent need to expedite the resolution of the ongoing military occupation in both Western Sahara and Palestine, based on law and international legitimacy. They warned of the "danger" of the current explosive situation in the regions due to the repression, aggression, and extermination policies pursued by the occupying forces, namely the Kingdom of Morocco and the Zionist entity.

South Africa: Digital Conference on Sahrawi issue

Pretoria, 11 September 2024 (SPS) - The Political Education and Training Committee of the African National Congress held a digital conference on the Western Sahara issue in the Western Cape province of South Africa, with the participation of youth and women’s groups as well as veterans.

The conference, organized on Tuesday, hosted Sahrawi Ambassador Mohamed Yaslem Beisset, who provided a detailed presentation covering the struggle of the Sahrawi people from its inception to the current stage, along with its legal and political dimensions.

SPLA targets Moroccan occupation forces’ bases in Mahbes sector

Bir Lahlu (Liberated Territories), September 10, 2024 (SPS) - Advanced units of the Sahrawi People's Liberation Army (SPLA) have targeted Moroccan occupation forces' bases in the Mahbes sector.

A military statement issued by the Central Directorate of Political Commissariat of the Sahrawi People's Liberation Army indicated that today, Tuesday, advanced units conducted concentrated shelling aimed at the Moroccan Royal Army bases in the areas of Sabkhet Tnushad and Akraret Al-Farsik within the Mahbes sector.

Spanish Popular Party urges government to establish special fund to assist Sahrawi refugees

Madrid, 9 August 2024 (SPS) - The Spanish Popular Party has urged the government to create a special fund as soon as possible, dedicated to Sahrawi refugees to help meet their vital needs, according to the news website "Europa Press."

Party deputies have proposed a bill for discussion in the general session. In highlighting the deteriorating living conditions of these refugees, the deputies called on their government to include this proposal in the upcoming state budgets.

The President Brahim Ghali praised the steadfast principled stance that the Algeria of freedom and dignity has long adopted, supporting the just and legitimate struggle of the Sahrawi people for freedom and independence.

SPLA targets Moroccan occupation soldiers' positions in Hawza sector

Bir Lahlu (Liberated Territories), September 8, 2024 (SPS) - Advanced units of the Sahrawi People's Liberation Army (SPLA) targeted the positions of the occupation army in the Hawza sector, resulting in heavy losses in personnel and equipment.

According to the military statement issued by the Central Directorate of Political Commissiariat of the Sahrawi People's Liberation Army, advanced units of SPLA army carried out focused bombardments today, Sunday, targeting the trenches of the Moroccan army in the area of Rous Wad Akjkal in the Hawza sector.

President of Republic honors top achievers in baccalaureate exams

Shaheed Al-Hafed, September 8, 2024 (SPS) - President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Brahim Ghali, supervised the ceremony honoring the top achievers in the Baccalaureate exams of the year 2024 at the Ministry of Culture.

The top students in the Baccalaureate certificate exams were honored at the national level as well as communities abroad, occupied territories.

The ceremony was attended by members of the National Secretariat, government officials, and student and youth representatives.

Sahrawi Association condemns racial discrimination and double standards practiced by Moroccan occupation concerning issue of forced disappearances of Sahrawi victims

Occupied El Aaiun, September 7, 2024 (SPS) - The Sahrawi Association of Victims of Grave Violations of Human Rights Committed by the Moroccan State (ASVDH) condemned the double standards practiced by the Moroccan occupying state whenever it comes to addressing the cases of Sahrawi victims. They denounced the policy of obscuring and concealing the truth, which deprives the families of martyrs and the missing Sahrawis from knowing the fate of their loved ones, while pressuring these families in every way to abandon their demands and rights.

Delegation of African Centre for Disease Control and Prevention on  work visit to Sahrawi State

Wilaya of Boujdour, September 7, 2024 (SPS) - A delegation representing the North Africa regional office of the African Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC) arrived Friday in Boujdour.

This visit by the African delegation is part of follow-up and evaluation visits for health programs at the African Union level in the Sahrawi state, as well as to assess the main challenges in various health programs and to strengthen cooperation between the regional office and the Sahrawi Ministry of Public Health.
