Shaheed al-Hafid, September 25, 2024 (SPS) - The Algerian champion and boxer Imane Khelif visited Wednesday the Sahrawi refugee camps, where she looked into the situation and resilience of the Sahrawi people.
The first part of Imane Khelif's visit was the wilaya of Smara, where she was welcomed by the Wali of the wilaya, Azza Babih, a member of the National Secretariat of the Polisario Front, who expressed her appreciation for this important humanitarian gesture, and the gratitude and gratefulness of the Sahrawi people.
Ms. Azza Babih said "Our memory cannot but cherish this kind of visits with a positive impact, especially from Algeria of dignity, defiance and pride".
Champion Imane Khelif also visited some educational and health facilities in the wilaya of Smara, including the sports school, where she was informed about the work progress and the various services provided.
