Citizens of Dunedin condemn Ravensdown imports of “Blood Phosphate” from occupied Western Sahara

Dunedin (New Zealand) 12 July 2022 (SPS)- Citizens of Dunedin gathered on Monday in the city harbour to unwelcome and farewell the “Sea Breeze”, a ship carrying hundreds tons of “blood phosphate” stolen from Western Sahara, SPS correspondent reported from the ground.
The demonstrators wanted to condemn the Moroccan illegal occupation of Western Sahara and the theft of its natural resources, as well as to tell New Zealand companies that by purchasing the stolen blood phosphate they indict themselves as War Criminals.

The Saharawi artillery continues its bombardment of the occupation forces along the Moroccan military wall

Bir Lehlu (Saharawi Republic), 12, July 2022 (SPS-. The Ministry of National Defense has reported Monday in its 581st military statement, that advanced detachments of our army carried out intense bombardments in the Guerat ULD Blal area, in the Mahbes sector.
The military report also reports that Saharawi forces attacked the Russ Dirit and Lagseibiyìn areas in the Hauza sector.

Some personalities, NGOs call on Portuguese government to address Western Sahara issue

Lisbon, 11 July 2022 (SPS) - No less than 677 personalities and organizations sent an open letter to the Portuguese government to address Western Sahara issue, inviting it to defend "clearly" and "explicitly" the right of Sahrawi people to self-determination, in accordance with international law, in order to contribute to a "lasting" solution to the conflict.

The President of the Republic, on behalf of the people and Government of the Sahrawi Republic and on his own behalf, expressed deep sadness and sorrow for the people and Government of Angola for their unspeakable loss.

Occupied Aaiun, 07, July 2022 (SPS) - The health of the Saharawi political prisoner, Abdal-la Luali Lejfauni, has worsened considerably, after contracting the coronavirus (COVID-19) and suffering poisoning due to poor food offered in prison, without receiving the necessary treatment or first aid, due to the refusal of the doctor assigned to the prisoners.

SPLA attack Moroccan occupation forces in Mahbes and Um Dreiga sectors

Bir Lehlu (Sahrawi Republic), 06, July 2022 (SPS) – Units of the Saharawi Peaple Liberation Army (SPLA) attacked Wednesday Moroccan occupation forces entrenched in the Mahbes and Um Dreiga sectors.
According to War Report No. 577 released by the Ministry of National Defense, units of our army launched concentrated bombardments against the enemy forces in the following positions:
- The region of Sabjat Tanuchad, in Mahbes.
- The region of Gararat Al-Firsik, in Mahbes.
- The Azamul Um Jamla region, in the Um Dreiga sector.

POLISARIO denounces Moroccan obstructionism preventing UN Envoy from visiting occupied Western Sahara

New York (United Nations) 04 July 2022 (SPS)- The Representative of Frente Polisario at the UN, Dr. Sidi M. Omar, denounced in a Press Release issued Today, the Moroccan obstructionism and delaying tactics that prevented the Personal Envoy of the UN Secretary general to the UN, Mr. Satafan de Mistura, from visiting the occupied territories of Western Sahara as he was planning to do.

SPLA carries out new attacks against the positions of Moroccan occupier in Mahbes and Hawza sectors

Birlahlou (Liberated Territories), 4 July 2022 (SPS) - Units of the Sahrawi People's Liberation Army (SPLA) carried out new attacks against the entrenchments of the Moroccan occupying forces in the sectors of Mahbes and Hawza, causing "heavy human and material losses", indicated Sunday a statement of the National Ministry of Defense.
According to the 575th statement, "SPLA units targeted the positions of the Moroccan occupation forces with heavy shelling in the area of Laktitira under the Hawza sector".

Spanish Congress of Deputies adopts draft motion on Western Sahara, for friendly relations with Algeria

Madrid (Spain), 2 July 2022 (SPS) - Spanish Congress of Deputies (lower house of the legislative body) adopted Thursday a non-binding proposed motion requesting Spain's return to its neutral position over Western Sahara and the re-establishment of a friendly relationship with Algeria, local media reported.
The draft motion was voted in a plenary session by 193 votes in favour, 110 against and four abstentions.

Pretoria, June 30, 2022 (SPS)- The Republic of South Africa called today, for investigation into distressing number of deaths of African migrants attempting to cross the Morocco – Spain border, according to media statement issued by Department of International Relations and Cooperation (DIRCO).
The media statement added that "South Africa expressed deep regret and concern at the death of at least 23 and the injury of several migrants who attempted to cross the border from Morocco into the Spanish city of Melilla".

Maputo (Mozambique) June 26, 2022 (SPS) - President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Mr. Brahim Ghali, has received Vice-President of the Revolutionary Party of Tanzania, Chama Cha Mapinduzi, Mr. Abderrahmane Omar Kenana.
The meeting took place at the residence of the President of the Republic in Maputo, during which he reviewed the developments of the Saharawi issue, praising the relations between the Polisario Front and the Revolutionary Party of Tanzania, as well as the Sahrawi Republic and Tanzania.
