Sahrawi government condemns Moroccan King speech

Shaheed el Hafed (Refugee Camps), 30 July 2015 (SPS) – The government of the Sahrawi Republic has condemned the Moroccan King’s speech, on the occasion of sixteen years on throne, considering it reflects the continued intransigence of the usual policies of colonial powers throughout history.

 

Prime Minister warns against impact of drugs coming from Morocco

Algiers, July 30, 2015 (SPS) - Prime Minister Mr. Abdelkader Taleb Omar on Thursday warned against the risks of drugs coming from Morocco on the security of the region and the world in general, highlighting that Morocco remains the largest producer and exporter of Cannabis in the world according to international reports.


In an interview with the Algerian daily “El-Khabar”, the Minister said Morocco’s drugs are being sent abroad, an act he described as a “crime against the international law.”

Mauritanian Union of Progress Forces voices support to Saharawi struggle

SADR takes part at reception of US President Barack Obama

Addis Ababa, July 29, 2015 (SPS) - The Saharawi Republic (SADR) participated Tuesday in Addis Ababa in the reception ceremony of the US President Barack Obama, as part of a historic visit Kenya, Ethiopi a and African Union headquarters.


The SADR represented at the event by Mr. Omar Al-Bardi, First Secretary of SADR embassy in Ethiopia, Maria Eid Saila, from the permanent mission to the AU, and Wadadi Salek, media and cultural attaché.

AU reiterates support for just struggle of Saharawi people

 Boumerdes, July 26, 2015 (SPS) - The new Ambassador of Zimbabwe to Algeria and the Saharawi Republic, Mr. Edwin J. Mendaza, which his country holds the rotating presidency of the African Union, reiterated Saturday the support of his country for the just struggle of the Saharawi people for liberation and independence during his address to the sixth edition of the summer university of Sahrawi executives.

 

Moroccan police arrests young Sahrawis

Dakhla (Occupied Territories), 26 July 2015 (SPS) - Moroccan police patrols launched Saturday evening in the occupied city of Dakhla an arrest campaign, according to the Ministry of Occupied Territories and Community Abroad.     

 

During this campaign, Moroccan police arrested young Sahrawis Ahmed Yacoub, Mohamed Limam, Fateh Ahmedzain, Ahmed Graimish, Adnan Bouila and Ahmedfal Brehma. They were arrested on the background of their participation in peaceful demonstration in the city demanding the right of the Sahrawi people to self-determination.

 

Establishment of Tanzanian-Saharawi Solidarity Committee (TASSC)

Dar es Salaam (Tanzania), 26 July 2015 (SPS) - A Tanzanian-Saharawi Solidarity Committee (TASSC), aimed at supporting the Saharawi people in their noble struggle for self-determination, has been inaugurated Saturday in Dar es Salaam by intellectuals, researchers, students of international law at the University of Dar Es Salaam (UDM) and artists, said a statement of the SADR embassy in Dar es Salaam.

 

Over 400 participants in summer University of Saharawi Republic executives in Boumerdes

Boumerdes, 25 July 2015 (SPS) - The works of the Summer University of executives of the Polisario Front and the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR) have opened Saturday in Boumerdes, with the participation of over 400 executives, including members of the Government and representatives of the Polisario Front and the Saharawi people in the occupied territories.

New Sahrawi graduates from Cuban universities

Havana (Cuba), July 25, 2015 (SPS) – Some 60 Sahrawi students have been graduates from Cuban universities in different fields, among them 36 health professionals including physicians, X-ray technicians, nurses and specialists.
