President of Republic receives message of congratulations from President Bouteflika

Shaheed El Hafed (Refugee Camps), July 11, 2016 (SPS) - President of the Republic, Brahim Ghali, has received a message of congratulations from his Algerian counterpart President Abdelaziz Bouteflika, on his election on Saturday as Secretary General of Polisario Front and President of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR) in which he reaffirmed "Algeria’s consistent solidarity" with Western Sahara people.

Algeria, my first destination, says President of Republic

Dakhla (refugee camps), July 10, 2016 (SPS)  – New president of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR), Secretary General of the Polisario Front, Brahim Ghali, announced Saturday in Dakhla that Algeria will be his "first destination" before participating in the African Union summit (AU).
"Algeria will be my first destination before leaving to attend the AU summit," scheduled from July 10 to 18 in Kigali, Ghali told a press conference after the Polisario Front extraordinary congress held Friday and Saturday.

Algerian political class calls on international community to find solution

Dakhla (refugee camps), July 9, 2016 (SPS) - The representatives of Algerian political class, who participated in the extraordinary congress of the Polisario Front, called on the international community to find a solution to the just cause of the Sahrawi people and to take urgent actions to protect human rights in the occupied territories.
The head of the Algerian-Sahrawi parliamentary friendship group, Saida Bounab, underlined the urgent need to hold a free referendum, which would allow the Sahrawi people exercise their right to self-determination.

Ibrahim Ghali elected Secretary General of Polisario Front

Dakhla (Refugee Camps), July 9, 2016 (SPS) - Ibrahim Ghali was elected Saturday in the Wilaya of Dakhla, Sahrawi refugee camps, by an overwhelming majority the Secretary General of the Polisario Front and President of the Sahrawi Republic as required by the Constitution, during the works of the Extraordinary Congress of the Polisario Front. 
Candidate Ibrahim Ghali obtained 1766 from 1895 of votes cast, according to the announcement of the Election Committee after counting the final results.

“The struggle of the Sahrawi people to snatch their independence is ours because it is a just struggle,” said Manuel Flares in a statement to APS, in the works of the extraordinary congress of the Front Polisario which kicked this morning.
 

The President of the Mauritanian Forces Progress Party reiterates its full support for the right of the Saharawi people to self-determination

Algeria reaffirms its support for the just cause of the Saharawi people

Dakhla (Saharawi refugee camps), July 08, 2016 (SPS) – Algeria through the Minister of the Mujahideen, Mr. Teib Zetouni Friday reiterated  its firm position to support the just cause of the Saharawi people.
The Algerian Minister expressed support and full solidarity of the Government and the Algerian people with the Saharawi people and their just struggle for freedom and independence.
