Aaiun (Capital of occupied Western Sahara) August, 31 2016 (SPS) - The Moroccan occupying authorities harassed at the airport of Casablanca the members of the Sahrawi delegation after their participation in the Summer University of the executives of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic, held in Boumerdes in Algeria.
The delegation, made up of human rights activists and former Sahrawi political prisoners, was victim of several types of harassment and intimidation, said the source.

Addis Ababa , August 30, 2016 (SPS) - The Minister Delegate for African Affairs, Hamdi Mayara Jalil, was received today at the headquarters of the African Union in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, by the Commissioner for Peace and Security of the African Union, Ambassador Ismail Shargui to inform him about the position of the Saharawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR) and POLISARIO Front before the last escalation in the area of  El Guergarat.

Bir Lehlou (Liberated Zones), August 29, 2016 (SPS) - Minister of National Defence Abdallahi Lehbib Belal informed, in a letter Sunday, MINURSO Chief of Staff and Acting Commander Bokom Oumar, that as of the morning of August 28th, he has deployed military forces in the area of Alguergarat, south-western Western Sahara, to prevent further Moroccan activities beyond the Berm.

Nairobi,  24 August 2016 (SPS) - The Minister of State, Advisor to the President, Mr. Bachir Mustafa, met yesterday in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi, with Kenyan Foreign Minister, Ms. Amina Mohamed, in. his role as Special Envoy of the President of the Republic.
During this meeting, the Special Envoy of the President delivered a letter to the Kenyan Minister sent to the President of the Republic of Kenya, Uhuru Kenyatta, from his Saharawi counterpart Brahim Gali.

 
New York , 24 August 2016 (SPS) –The Frente POLISARIO has called for urgent UN action to uphold the ceasefire agreement between the POLISARIO and Morocco in response to ongoing Moroccan violations of the 1991 deal. Since 11 August, Moroccan occupation forces in Western Sahara have repeatedly crossed the Moroccan military wall in the Al Guargarat zone in defiance of military agreement No. 1 of the ceasefire, which prohibits any work or deployment in a 5km strip along the wall.
