Harare, Dec 15, 2017 (SPS) - Zimbabwean President ,Emmerson Mnangagwa, has reiterated his country's unwavering support and solidarity with the struggle and right of the Saharawi people to independence, emphasizing the promotion and consolidation of relations between Zimbabwe and the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic.
On Wednesday, welcoming the special envoy of Saharawi President Brahim Ghali, member of the Polisario Front National Secretariat, Mohammed Yeslem Baysat, President Mnangagwa affirmed that Zimbabwe and SADR maintain excellent long-standing relations.

Mérida (Spain), Dec 13, 2017 (SPS) - The Assembly of Extremadura (Spain), has adopted, unanimously, an institutional declaration of support to the people of  Western Sahara, signed by all the parliamentary groups present in the autonomous chamber.
Extremadura legislators demand the Kingdom of Morocco the immediate release of Saharawi political prisoners, and the cease of violations of human rights in the prisons it controls," went on saying the statement, condemning the continued plundering of the natural resources of Western Sahara.

Bir Lehlu (Liberated territories), Dec 13, 2017 (SPS)- President of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR), Secretary General of Frente POLISARIO Brahim Gali called on the United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres to intervene immediately to enforce implementation of UN decisions and recommendations related to Western Sahara.
The Sahrawi president underlined that the UN Security Council's resolution on the status of the buffer zone of Al Guerguerat, in accordance with the ceasefire agreement "has not been implemented yet."

Algiers (Algeria), Dec 12, 2017 (SPS) - The Ambassador of South Africa in Algeria, Dennis Dlomo, reaffirmed, on Tuesday, in the Forum of the Memory, dedicated to the Martyr Mohamed Abdelaziz, the commitment of his country with the right of the Saharawi people to freedom and independence.
The South African diplomat highlighted in his speech, the great work of the deceased leader for the freedom of his people.

Paris (France), Dec 12, 2017 (SPS) - Saharawi Minister of the Occupied Territories and Diaspora Mohamed Ouali Akeik on Tuesday demanded that Morocco stop trying Saharawi activists for their political views, using confessions obtained under torture.

Brussels, Dec 11, 2017 (SPS) -European MPs on Monday expressed their “deep concern” over the “critical” situation of the Sahrawi political prisoners of Gdeim Izik group, and urged the European Union (EU) to take the necessary measures to provide them with medical assistance in accordance with the United Nations Standard Minimum Rules for the Treatment of Prisoners.

Auserd (Refugee Camps), December 11, 2017 (SPS) - The participants of the 9th Congress of the Youth Union of (UJSARIO) on Monday elected Mohamed Saeed Dadi as the Secretary-General of the Union over the next four years.
The new Secretary-General was elected to this post after contesting a second round between him and Khalhina Mohamed Mustafa.
