Boujdour (Refugee Camps), 29 October 2023 (SPS) - President of the Republic, Secretary General of the Polisario Front, Brahim Ghali, visited the traditional camp on the sidelines of the Artifariti cultural event, organized by the Ministry of Culture in cooperation with the authorities of the wilaya of Boujdour.

The President of the Republic spent a long time at the camp, where he was given explanations about the heritage contained in these tents, which distinguishes the Sahrawi people.

Bir Lehlu (Liberated Territories) , 29 October 2023 (SPS) - Units  of the Sahrawi People's Liberation Army (SPLA) launched a new attack against the Moroccan occupation forces stationed in the Mahbes, Smara, and Farsia sectors on Sunday, according to Military Communiqué No. 901 issued by the Sahrawi Ministry of Defense.

The units of the SPLA targeted Sunday the Moroccan occupation forces in the Mahbes, Smara, and Farsia sectors with intense shelling.

New York (United Nations), 27 October 2023 (SPS) - Dr  Sidi Mohamed Omar, Member of the National Secretariat, Representative of the Frente POLISARIO at the United Nations and Coordinator with MINURSO, addressed yesterday a letter to Ambassador Sérgio França Danese, Permanent Representative of Brazil to the United Nations and current President of the UN Security Council, in which he expressed strong condemnation of the recent demolition and destruction by the occupying state of Morocco of the homes and properties of many Sahrawis in the Occupied City of Smara.

Addis Ababa (African Union), October 26, 2023 (SPS) - The Ambassador of the Sahrawi Republic to South Africa, Mr. Mohamed Yeslam Beisat, was received on Tuesday by the Chairperson of the African Commission, Mr. Moussa Fakih Mohamed, as a Special Envoy of the President of the Republic, Mr. Brahim Ghali, at the headquarters of the African Union in Addis Ababa

Algeria, October 26, 2023 (SPS) - The Sahrawi Republic participates in the 26th edition of the Algiers International Book Fair (SILA), held at the Exhibition Palace in Algiers.

The opening of the Book Fair was supervised by the Algerian Prime Minister, Mr. Ayman Ben Abdel-Rahman, accompanied by members of the Algerian government, including the Minister of Culture and Arts, Mrs. Soraya Mouloudji, as well as representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Algeria.

Addis Ababa (African Union), October 26, 2023 (SPS)- The Sahrawi Republic deposited on Wednesday its Instrument of Ratification of the Protocol annexed to the African Charter on Human and Peoples’ Rights on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in Africa, at the headquarters of the African Union in Addis Ababa.

The purpose of the African Disability Protocol is to promote, protect and ensure the full and equal enjoyment of all human and people’s rights by all persons with disabilities in Africa, as well as to ensure respect for their inherent dignity.
