President of Republic Offers Condolences on Passing of Namibian President Hage Geingob

Bir Lehlou (Liberated Territories), 4 February  2024 (SPS) - President of the Republic, Secretary General of the Polisario Front, Mr. Brahim Ghali, sent a message of condolence today, Sunday, to the Acting President of Namibia, Dr. Nangolo Mbumba, in which he expressed the condolences of the Sahrawi people and government on the passing of President Hage Geingob, who passed away today after a serious illness.

New York  (United Nations), 4 February 2024 (SPS) – In a press release issued today, Dr Sidi Mohamed Omar, Member of the National Secretariat and Representative of the Frente POLISARIO to the United Nations and Coordinator with MINURSO, stressed that the visit of the Personal Envoy of the UN Secretary-General for Western Sahara to South Africa falls within the scope of his mandate, especially given South Africa’s strong commitment to a rules-based international order, as well as its support for and promotion of peaceful and just solutions to conflicts in Africa and beyond.

Delegations participating in José Antonio Maceo International Camp condemn plunder of natural resources in Western Sahara

Cuba, 4 February  2024 (SPS) - In a closing statement, more than 100 delegates from the 29th South American Group for Voluntary Work and Solidarity with Cuba condemned the Moroccan occupation's practices of plundering Sahrawi natural resources. The statement was issued at the conclusion of the solidarity activity held at the José Antonio Maceo International Camp in Cuba.

BBC delegation on visit Sahrawi refugee camps

Shaheed Hafed, 4 February 2024 (SPS) - A journalist delegation from the British BBC channel has begun a visit to the Sahrawi refugee camps.

The visit, which started on Saturday, will include meetings with various segments of Sahrawi society, field visits to the Association of Families of Sahrawi Prisoners and Disappeared, the Association of Landmine Victims, the Resistance Museum, the headquarters of national television, facilities in the wilaya of Smara and a meeting with its authorities and some families, the Hussein Tamk Complex, and the Sahrawi Red Crescent.
