South Africa emphasizes its firm and principled position on the Western Sahara issue

Pretoria (South Africa), February 01, 2024 (SPS) – The South African Deputy Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Ms. Candith Mashego-Dlamini, emphasized the firm and principled position of South Africa towards the Western Sahara issue while receiving the Sahrawi Ambassador Mohamed Yeslam Baisat.

The meeting, which took place at the headquarters of the Ministry of International Relations and Cooperation in Pretoria and was attended by the Deputy Minister’s assistants, discussed ways to strengthen the bilateral relations between the two countries and the prospects for strengthening and improving them in the future.

It also reviewed the latest developments in the Sahrawi issue regionally and internationally, as well as a number of issues of common interest, especially at the continental level.
