Quito (Ecuador), 17 January 2024 (SPS) - The Sahrawi Ambassador to Ecuador, Mr. Ahmedouha Mohamed Ahmed Zain, was received by the First Vice-President of the Ecuadorian National Assembly, Viviana Veloz. The two sides discussed ways to strengthen the excellent bilateral relations between Ecuador and the Sahrawi Republic, which celebrated its 40th anniversary in November of last year.

EU Ambassador to Algeria visits Sahrawi refugee camps

Wilaya of Dakhla, January 16, 2024 (SPS) - The European Union Ambassador to Algeria, Mr. Thomas Ackert, began a visit to Sahrawi refugee camps, during which he inspected the humanitarian situation of Sahrawi refugees.

The EU Ambassador to Algeria began his visit from the Wilaya of Dakhla, where he stressed that this visit constitutes a large part of the attention that the European Union pays to the Sahrawi refugees, who have been living in exceptional conditions for decades as a result of the Moroccan invasion of their country.

Sahrawi Republic participates in 47th Ordinary Session of African Union Permanent Representatives Committee

Addis Ababa (Ethiopia), 15 January 2024 (SPS) - The Sahrawi Republic is participating in the 47th Ordinary Session of the African Union Permanent Representatives Committee, which began today, Monday, at the headquarters of the African Union Commission in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa.

The work of this session is focusing on the theme: "Educate an African fit for the 21st Century: Building resilient education systems for increased access to inclusive, lifelong, quality, and relevant learning in Africa."

Sahrawi Republic participates in African Conference of Solidarity with Cuba

Mbombela (South Africa), 15 January 2024 (SPS) - The Sahrawi Republic is participating in the African Solidarity Conference with Cuba, which is being held in the Mbombela province in South Africa on January 15, 16, and 17.

Representing the Sahrawi Republic at the conference is Mr. Bashraya Hamoudi Beyun, Prime Minister and member of the National Secretariat, who delivered a speech during the opening session expressing deep gratitude and appreciation to the Cuban people and government for their steadfast support of the Sahrawi people's struggle.
