Geneva, 25 August 2024 (SPS) - The representative of the Polisario Front in Switzerland and at the United Nations and international organizations in Geneva, Oubi Boushraya Bashir, affirmed that the aggression by the Moroccan diplomat against the Sahrawi delegation participating in the preparatory meetings for the Ministerial Conference of the Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD) was proof that Morocco's agenda is becoming increasingly hostile towards the African Union (AU) and its objectives of continental unity.

Shaheed El Hafed, August 25, 2024 (SPS) - The Foreign Affairs, Media and Protocol Committee of the National Council condemned the brutal assault by the Moroccan delegation on the ambassador of the Sahrawi Republic participating in the preparatory meetings for the Ministerial Meeting of the Tokyo International Conference on Development in Africa (TICAD).

Berlin (Germany), August 25, 2024 (SPS) -  The film "Life Waits" about the referendum and resistance in Western Sahara was screened Saturday at the Lecture Hall in Berlin, as part of the events of the Days for Peace.

A large audience attended the event, showing great interest in the Sahrawi cause. The film recalls the Sahrawis' ongoing struggle for freedom and independence over decades.

Tokyo (Japan) 25 August 2024 (SPS)- The ministerial meeting of the Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD) concluded today with the adoption of a final communiqué that isolates Morocco and confirms the right of all African Union member states to participate.

The final communiqué reaffirmed the right of all “African Union Member States" to participate in TICAD meetings, leaving Morocco isolated as the only country opposing this decision.

Tokyo (Japan), 24 August 2024 (SPS) - The circumstances and background of the Tokyo International Conference on African Development (known as TICAD) have exposed the numerous Moroccan propaganda and lies that preceded and accompanied the conference. These revelations highlight the shallow and failed Moroccan official attempts to counter the genuine victories achieved by the Sahrawi cause on various fronts, despite the immense corruption and bribery employed by the occupying regime to buy allegiances and hide the reality of its repeated defeats.

Tokyo (Japan), August 24, 2024 (SPS) - The ministerial meeting of the Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD) was inaugurated today in Tokyo, with the presence of the Sahrawi Foreign Minister, Mohamed Sidati, accompanied by the Sahrawi Republic's Permanent Representative to the African Union, Lamin Baali, who attended the experts' meeting yesterday.

Tokyo (Japan), August 23, 2024 (SPS) - A member of the Moroccan diplomatic delegation participating in the preparatory experts' meeting for the TICAD summit in Tokyo this morning attempted to physically assault the Sahrawi Republic's Permanent Representative to the African Union, Amb. Lamin Baali. The ambassador was participating in the meeting alongside his colleagues from member states of the Union. The assailant was apprehended and removed from the meeting hall by protocol and security staff.

Tokyo (Japan), August 23, 2024 (SPS) - The African Union and TICAD experts' meeting began this morning in the Japanese capital Tokyo, in preparation for the ministerial meeting, with the participation of the Sahrawi delegation.

During the opening and while the Japan’s representative in the meeting was giving his statement, the Moroccan delegation tried to physically attack the Sahrawi ambassador to prevent Sahrawi participation and ruin the meeting.

Addis Ababa (African Union), August 21, 2024 (SPS) - The Sahrawi Republic, represented by the Counselor at the Sahrawi Embassy in Addis Ababa, Amman Sidi Abdallah, participated in the 1229th meeting of the Peace and Security Council of the African Union held on Wednesday, via videoconference, on inclusive education in conflict situations in Africa, in the presence of members of the Peace and Security Council, members of the African Union, the regional economic groups, in addition to UNESCO and the International Committee of the Red Cross.

 Bir Lehlou (Sahrawi Republic), 21 August  2024 (SPS) – On Tuesday, President of the Republic and Secretary-General of the Frente POLISARIO, Mr Brahim Ghali, addressed a letter to the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Mr António Guterres, in which  he drew his attention and  that of the Members of the Security Council to the grave situation in the Occupied Sahrawi Territories owing to the continued oppression and violence pursued by Morocco, the occupying state, against Sahrawi civilians.

Shaheed Al Hafed, August 20, 2024 (SPS) -, Mr. Bachraya Hamoudi Bayoun, member of the National Secretariat, Prime Minister, on Tuesday presided over an evaluation meeting of the government's performance in the first half of the year across all sectors.

The evaluation encompasses ministries and wilayas, and it involves ranking each entity based on its performance during the period covered by the evaluation.

Shaheed Al Hafed, August 20, 2024 (SPS) - The Polisario Front has reaffirmed that ending the current situation and the ongoing conflict since 1975, when Spain abandoned its responsibilities towards its former colony Western Sahara, and Morocco's insistence on continuing its illegal occupation, will only be achieved through the strict and resolute application of international legitimacy.

Shaheed Al Hafed, August 19, 2024 (SPS) - The Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, President of the Republic, Brahim Ghali, chaired Monday a meeting of the Permanent Bureau of the National Secretariat of the Polisario Front.

The meeting discussed developments in the national issue at both the national and international levels, and the expressed positions, particularly the negative French stance towards the legitimate struggle of the Sahrawi people.

Santo Domingo, 18 August  2024 (SPS) - The Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR) has expressed its strongest rejection of the terms of the statement issued by the Dominican Republic's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which affects Western Sahara, a territory awaiting decolonization, in press release issued today Sunday.

Bir Lahlou (Liberated Territories), August 18, 2024 (SPS) - Advanced units of the Sahrawi People's Liberation Army (SPLA) targeted a Moroccan occupation base in the Guelta sector today, Sunday.

In this context, the military communiqué issued by the Central Directorate of Political Commissariat of the SPLA clarified that for the second day in a row, advanced units of our fighters carried out a concentrated bombardment this Sunday afternoon, targeting a Royal Moroccan Army base in the Aaydiyat area of the Guelta sector.

Geneva (Switzerland), August 18, 2024 (SPS) - The Swiss Solidarity Movement organized a memorial ceremony yesterday, Saturday, for the late friend of the Sahrawi people, Emmanuel Martinolli, in the presence of his family and friends, at his birthplace.

Speakers unanimously praised the deceased's qualities and his support for the Sahrawi people in their struggle, particularly in breaking the media blockade, documenting, and building a database of information and documents about Western Sahara accessible to all.

Ouguift  (Mauritania), August 18, 2024 (SPS) - The events of the Hassaniya Culture Festival continue on its second day in the historic city of Ouguift , located in the Adrar region of northern Mauritania.

This edition, organized as part of the events of Nouakchott, the Capital of Hassaniya Culture, was distinguished by the active participation of a delegation from the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic, alongside a delegation representing neighboring Algeria.
