Ouguift (Mauritania), August 18, 2024 (SPS) - The events of the Hassaniya Culture Festival continue on its second day in the historic city of Ouguift , located in the Adrar region of northern Mauritania.
This edition, organized as part of the events of Nouakchott, the Capital of Hassaniya Culture, was distinguished by the active participation of a delegation from the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic, alongside a delegation representing neighboring Algeria.
The artistic evening provided a space for refined entertainment for the residents of Ouguift and the festival's guests. The Sahrawi artistic band shone with its authentic songs, melodious voices, and distinctive attire, reflecting the brilliance of Sahrawi culture and the nobility of the Sahrawi people's struggle.
The closing events of the festival witnessed speeches and interventions that praised the importance of this festival and its role in preserving and protecting Hassaniya culture and heritage. They also highlighted its role in strengthening the bonds of brotherhood between the Mauritanian and Sahrawi peoples, as well as commending the role of neighboring Algeria in supporting Hassaniya Hassaniya culture.
