Western Sahara's decolonization: Namibia will not go against tide of history

Geneva, 4 July 2020 (SPS) - Namibia, via its permanent delegation to the United Nations Office in Geneva, said Thursday that it "will not go against the tide of history" on the issue of Western Sahara, noting its commitment to continue to defend the inalienable right of the Sahrawi people to independence.
"As a country that has experienced the same (colonial) situation, we are determined to stay on the right side of the story," said Collin O'Brien Namalambo, Deputy Permanent Representative of the Namibia in Geneva at a session of the Human Rights Council.

President of Republic makes appointments at level of Presidency of Republic and other institutions

Frente POLISARIO calls UNSC to hold Morocco accountable for its well-documented role in drug trafficking

New York, 30 June 2020 (SPS) -  the Representative of the Frente POLISARIO at the United Nations, Dr Sidi M. Omar, has strongly called on the Security Council to hold Morocco accountable for its well-documented role in drug trafficking and other destabilising actions that are threatening security and stability of its neighbours and the whole region, in a letter addressed on Today to H.E. Moscow, 28 June 2020 (SPS) - The Communist Party ¨ Communists of Russia¨ has reiterated its principled and firm support for the just struggle of the people of Western Sahara in a letter to the Polisario Front office in the Federal Republic of Russia.
The Party called on the Moroccan occupation state to allow the Sahrawi people to exercise their right to self-determination and independence, condemned its policy in the occupied Sahrawi territories, and demanded the release of all Sahrawi prisoners in Moroccan.

New Zealand citizens blockaded Ravensdown’ trucks carrying “blood Phosphate” stolen from occupied Western Sahara

Lyttleton Port (New Zealand) 23 June 2020 (SPS)- Free Western Sahara Solidarity Aotearoa and a group of New Zealand citizens gathered Today in a protest blockading Ravensdown’ trucks carrying “blood Phosphate” illegally mined and exported by Morocco from occupied Western Sahara.
The protesters issued a detailed press release explaining the reasons behind their action, and stating their rejection of Ravensdown illegal deals with Morocco that are only helping Rabat fund its illegal and brutal occupation in Western Sahara.

UNMS commends women's struggles in Occupied Zones

Chahid El Hafed , June 23, 2020 (SPS) -. The National Union of Sahrawi Women (UNMS) reiterated its unconditional solidarity and praised the struggles of Sahrawi women in the Occupied Areas of Western Sahara.
Sahrawi women national body in a meeting of its Executive Bureau sent a greeting to all Sahrawi women in the diaspora and in the Camps of pride and dignity.
The meeting addressed a number of issues related to the organization's work at the external, national and regional levels.

New Zealanders block entrance to Ravensdown to protest against import of “blood phosphate” from occupied Western Sahara

Dunedin (New Zealand) 22 June 2020 (SPS)- New Zealander protestors decided to block entrance to Ravensdown Fertilizer company Monday morning, to protest against the company illegal import of “blood phosphate” from occupied Western Sahara.
The group indicated in its communication to Media that “supporters of Western Sahara braved a frosty morning to close down the Ravensdown fertiliser plant in Dunedin,  New Zealand. The blockade lasted for 5 hours and no fertiliser trucks entered or left the site during that time.”
