Chahid El Hafed, July 15, 2020 (SPS) - The National Secretariat praised the efforts of the Sahrawi army units in protecting the liberated lands of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR) against the organized crime and drugs.

Brussels, 13 July 2020 (SPS) - Algeria’s ambassador to Brussels Amar Belani denounced Saturday the disinformation campaign led by the Moroccan media on the so-called “misuse of the European humanitarian aid granted to Sahrawi refugees, noting that these unfounded allegations were clearly denied by EU’s top officials in charge of the file.

Adoption by Security Council of President Ghali’s letter as official document irritates Moroccan regime

Shaheed Al-Hafed, 11 July 2020 (SPS) -The adoption by the Security Council of a letter sent recently from President of the Republic, Secretary General of the Polisario Front Brahim Ghali to the United Nations as an official document irritated the Moroccan regime.
It is a letter sent recently from President Ghali to the United Nations, in which he warned against the spread of the new coronavirus pandemic which has significantly spread in a short time across the occupied Sahrawi territories. 

South Africa laments lack of extended human rights monitoring mandate for MINURSO

New York, 11 July 2020 (SPS) - South Africa's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Jerry Matthews Matjila, regretted on Tuesday that the United Nations Mission for the Referendum in Western Sahara (MINURSO) still lacks a broad mandate for human rights monitoring, deploring the Security Council's "selective" and highly "politicized" attitude.

EU does not recognize Morocco's sovereignty over Western Sahara

Brussels, 08 July 2020 (SPS)- EU's High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell said Tuesday the European Union does not recognize Morocco's sovereignty over Western Sahara territory.
The new statement by the chief of EU's foreign policy, which leaves no room for "sneaky" interpretation of the occupying force, came in a written response to a question from German MEP Guido Reil, on the labelling of products from Western Sahara.

Frente POLISARIO welcomes EU position that affirms Morocco does not have sovereignty over Western Sahara

Chahid El Hafed (Dignity Camps), July 6, 2020 (SPS) -  The Frente POLISARIO, through its Permanent Bureau, welcomed on Monday the position expressed by the European Union on Western Sahara.
At its meeting yesterday chaired by the President of the Republic, Secretary General of the Frente POLISARIO, Mr. Brahim Gali, the Permanent Bureau of the POLISARIO took note of the position expressed by the European Union, which states that the Kingdom of Morocco does not have sovereignty over Western Sahara.

At its meeting today, Monday, chaired by President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Mr. Brahim Ghali, the Permanent Office noted the position expressed by the European Union, which asserts that the Kingdom of Morocco has no sovereignty over Western Sahara. 

Switzerland bans agricultural imports from occupied Western Sahara

Brussels, 05 Jul 2020 (SPS) - The three largest Swiss retailers, Coop, Migros and Denner have banned agricultural products originating in Western Sahara from their shelves, refusing to be complicit in the Moroccan occupation.
Swiss trade statistics consulted by the Western Sahara Resources Watch observatory, reveal that Switzerland ended its controversial agricultural imports from Western Sahara in 2019.
According to WSRW, 2019 was the first year that shows no imports of products from this territory.

EU does not recognize Morocco’s sovereignty over Western Sahara

Brussels, 06 July 2020 (SPS) - The High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, affirmed that the EU’s position on Western Sahara is guided by UN Security Council resolutions and considers that Western Sahara is a non-self-governing territory, whose final status will be determined by the results of the UN-led processes, which the EU fully supports.

President of Republic sends message of congratulation to President of Burundi on Independence Day

“On behalf of the Sahrawi people and Government, it gives me great please to send to your Excellency my congratulations on the celebration of your Independence Day, together with my best wishes for happiness and progress of the people of the Republic of Burundi,” said the President of the Republic.

President of Republic congratulates Algerian counterpart on National Day

SADR Ambassador to Algeria calls for further mobilization against UN inaction in face of Moroccan occupier’s violations

Algiers, 5 July 2020 (SPS) - Ambassador of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR) to Algiers Abdelkader Taleb Omar accused the United Nations of inaction and indulgence in the face of the violations, by the Moroccan occupier, of the agreements signed between the two sides (Polisario and Morocco), calling for further mobilization to take up the challenges facing the Sahrawi people in their struggle for self-determination.
