Bir Lehlou, 29 May 2017 (SPS) – The Frente POLISARIO has “strongly” condemned the proposal of the European Commission, the Council of the European Union is expected to decide on, for a mandate to negotiate a revision of the 2000 EU-Morocco Association Agreement, which would include Moroccan products originating illegally in Western Sahara under the trade preferences of that Agreement.

Havana, May 28, 2017 (SPS) - President of the Republic, Brahim Ghali, and his Cuban Counterpart, Raul Castro, have discussed in Havana cooperation between the two nations.
Cuban President Raul Castro received Friday the President of the Republic, Brahim Ghali, who is on an official visit in Cuba.
During the fraternal meeting, both leaders agreed on the will to continue developing the historic bonds of solidarity, cooperation and brotherhood that unite the two nations. They also exchanged views on issues on the international agenda.

Santiago de Cuba, May 28, 2017 (SPS) President of the Republic, Brahim Ghali, paid Saturday tribute to the leader of the Cuban revolution, the late president Fidel Castro, in the cemetery of Santa Ifigenia, where he laid wreaths of flowers.
The President of Republic, who arrived in Santiago de Cuba during the third day of his visit in Cuba, paid tribute to José Martí as well.
He also visited the Saharawi students at the local Medical University, the museum of 26 July, in the former Moncada barracks, and Antonio Maceo Plaza of the Revolution. (SPS)

Havana, May 27, 2017 (SPS) - The President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario front, Brahim Ghali, was received Friday by his Cuban counterpart, Raúl Castro, as part of an official visit to Cuba.
The two leaders reaffirmed their commitment to strengthen the historic ties of solidarity, cooperation and fraternity that unite the two countries and discussed international issues, reported the Cuban press.

Havana, May 26, 2017 (SPS) - The President of the Republic, Secretary General of the Frente POLISARIO, Brahim Gali, is exoected to arrive in Cuba on the occasion of an official visit during which he will hold official talks with the President of the Councils of State and Ministers of Cuba, Raul Castro Ruz, and will carry out other activities.

Bir Lehlou, May 24, 2017 (SPS) -   the  President of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic, Secretary-General of the Frente POLISARIO, Mr Brahim Ghali has addressed a message of condolences to the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Theresa May, in which he "strongly" condemned the attack in which about twenty people lost their lives and dozens others were injured, in the city of Manchester.

Quito, Ecuador, May 24, 2017 (SPS) - The president of the Saharawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR) , Secretary General of the Frente POLISARIO, Brahim Gali, arrived in the afternoon on Tuesday, May 23, in Quito, Capital of the Republic of Ecuador, invited by the highest governmental authorities, to participate in the presidential ceremony of transmission of power.

Shaheed El-Hafed, May 22, 2017 (SPS) - The Saharawi Red Crescent Society (SRC) has issued an "urgent" appeal to all donor countries and humanitarian organizations to provide emergency humanitarian assistance to avoid the danger that threatens the life of the Sahrawi refugees who have been totally reliant on international humanitarian assistance for more than 40 years, indicated  a statement from the CRS made public on Monday.

Wilaya of Awserd (Refugee Camps), May 21, 2017 (SPS) -Sahrawi president and Secretary General of the Polisario Front Brahim Ghali hailed Saturday the support of the international community to the Sahrawi cause and the efforts made by all defenders of the Sahrawi people's struggle, notably Algeria, and called on the United Nations to fully assume its responsibility vis-à-vis the completion of the decolonization of Western Sahara.

Wilaya of Awserd (Refugee Camps), May 21, 2017 (SPS) - The President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Brahim Ghali, praised the positions of the African Union towards the maneuvers of the Moroccan occupation state, which showed its adherence to its principles and resolutions and its determination to complete the liberation of Africa, with the decolonization of Western Sahara, the last colony on the continent.

Kingstown (Saint Vincent and the Grenadines), May 20, 2017 (SPS) -Participants in the regional seminar of the Caribbean on decolonization held by the United Nations' 24 Committee called for the UN to speed up the decolonization process of Western Sahara and the organization of a self-determination referendum. 
The three-day seminar, held in Kingstown and devoted to the future of the 17 non-autonomous territories on the UN agenda, stressed the need to revive the UN special Committee for decolonization, alias Committee of 24, so that is can reach its goals.

Wilaya of Awserd (Refugee Camps), May 20, 2017 (SPS) - The celebration of the 44th anniversary of the outbreak of the armed struggle has been launched Saturday in the Wilaya of Awserd, refugee camps.
The celebrations were attended by President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Brahim Ghali, members of the National Secretariat, the Government, foreign delegations, and a large population of the Wilaya.

Salé (Morocco), May 19, 2017 (SPS) - The Moroccan court has postponed the trial of the Sahrawi political prisoners of Gdeim Izik until June 5, according to a Sahrawi human rights source from the occupied territories.
According to the source, the court decided to postpone the judgment after two weeks of hearings that witnessed numerous violations of the right of the prisoners in a fair trial.

Brussels, May 19, 2017 (SPS) -  The Moroccan Council of Human Rights (CNDH), mentioned by the European Union (EU) in the questions of human rights violation in Western Sahara "has no jurisdiction" over this territory, under the international law, said MEP Paloma Lopez.
