National Council resumes its autumn session

 National Council, January 6, 2015 (SPS) – The National Council resumed Tuesday its first autumn session of the ninth legislative custody under the chairmanship of its president, Mr. Khatri Adouh, in the presence of Prime Minister Mr. Abdelkader Taleb Omar and members of the government.

 

During the session, the permanent committees of the National Council presented their reports on the sectors of their specializations, to evaluate the level of achievement in the light of the annual program of the government of the past year.

Polisario Front "deeply concerned" about current stalemate situation in Western Sahara decolonization process

Shaheed ElHafed, January 6, 2015 (SPS) - The National Secretariat of the Polisario Front is "deeply" concerned about the current stalemate situation as result of the Moroccan intransigence and defiance to the United Nations to find a just and lasting solution to the conflict in Western Sahara, the last colony in Africa, said a statement following the 10th Ordinary Session of the National Secretariat, held Sunday and Monday, chaired by President of Republic, Secretary General of the Polisario Front, Mohamed Abdelaziz.

 

Swedish MPs affirm support to Sahrawi people

Algiers, January 6, 2015 (SPS) - Swedish Parliament deputy Johan Buser affirmed Monday, in Algiers, his country’s support to the Sahrawi people’s right to self-determination.

 

During a meeting with a delegation of the People’s National Assembly (Lower House of Parliament), Buser revealed the existence of a Swedish parliamentary network that defends the Sahrawi people’s rights, announcing the upcoming visit of Swedish parliamentarians in Sahrawi refugee camps.

 

Sahrawi ambassador to Algeria receives Sweden parliamentary delegation

Algiers, January 05, 2014 (SPS)- Sahrawi ambassador to Algeria , Brahim Gali, Sunday, met in the Sahrawi embassy , a Sweden delegation represents both parliament and youth, the discussion focused on the bilateral ties between Saharawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR) and Sweden, as well the Sweden socialist role’s in supporting Sahrawi issue.

 

2014, the year of “real“ condemnation of Moroccan violations of Human Rights and looting of natural resources of Western Sahara

Shahid Al Hafed, January 4, 2015 (SPS) - 2014 was marked by “real“ condemnation of Moroccan violations of Human Rights in the occupied territories of Western Sahara, and the plundering of natural resources.

 


 The latest evidence of this repression was the report of the non-governmental organization "Human Rights Watch" which called Morocco to release the Saharawi political prisoner Ambarek Daoudi.

 

2014 was the year of strengthening international solidarity with Saharawi issue

President of Republic congratulates Saharawi people on New Year

 Birlehlu, January 2,  2015 (SPS) -  The President of the Republic, Secretary General of the Polisario Front, Mohamed Abdelaziz, congratulated the Saharawi people on the eve of the New Year 2015, in a letter Thursday.

 

On this occasion, the President of the Republic praised the achievements of the Sahrawi people through their valiant resistance.  

 

Peaceful demonstration in occupied city of Dakhla demanding self-determination of Sahrawi people

 Dakhla (Occupied Territories), January 2, 2014 (SPS) – A peaceful demonstration was organized Wednesday in the so-called Elamel neighborhood in the occupied city of Dakhla, during which the national flag was raised and slogans demanding self-determination and independence were chanted.  

 

The Moroccan forces of repression responded violently against the demonstrators, chased them and arrested four of them, said a source of the Ministry of Occupied Territories and Community Abroad. (SPS)

Deterioration of health of Sahrawi political prisoner

El Aaiun (Occupied Territories), January 2, 2015 (SPS) - Sahrawi political prisoner Abdelkarim Bushelga is suffering of deteriorated health conditions as a result of a severe headache and acute pain, causing him to scream and cry, according to a source of the Ministry of the Occupied Territories and Community Abroad.

 

Conclusion of Annual Conference of Foreign Affairs Ministry

Shaheed Elhafed, January 1, 2015 (SPS)  - The Annual Conference of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs concluded Wednesday in the presence of President of the Republic, Secretary General of the Polisario Front, Mohamed Abdelaziz, members of the National Secretariat of the Polisario and SADR government, and Sahrawi diplomats.

 

 In his speech, President Mohamed Abdelaziz highlighted the work done by the Saharawi diplomacy during the year 2014 in Africa, Europe and Latin America and the challenges of the year 2015.
