UJSARIO delegation on working visit to several European countries

Geneva, Aug 18, 2013 (SPS) - A delegation of the Saharawi Youth Union (UJSARIO) has begun since the current August 6th an eight-day working visit to several European countries including France, Germany and Switzerland, to aware about the Saharawi cause, informed a source of the Polisario Representation in Geneva.


The delegation, led by the Secretary General of UJSARIO Smara Mr. Azzain Mohamed Sid Ahmaed, held talks with several associations and youth organizations in solidarity with the Saharawi people in these European countries.

Occupied El Aaiun: Moroccan forces crackdown on peaceful demonstrations

Saharawi state able to protect humanitarian delegations in refugee camps

Boumerdes (Algeria), Aug 18, 2013 (SPS) - The President of Saharawi Red Crescent (SRC) Mr. Yahia Bouhbini declared Sunday in Boumerdes, Algeria, that the Sahrawi state and Polisario Front have “all the means” to ensure the protection of international humanitarian missions in the Saharawi refugee camps.

Summer University: international media blackout on Saharawi issue strongly criticized

Boumerdes (Algeria), Aug 17, 2013 (SPS) - Lecturer Brahim Baaziz strongly criticized, Tuesday in Boumerdes (50-km east of Algiers), the blackout imposed by the international media on the Saharawi issue regarding the "serious violations" perpetrated by the Moroccan authorities against the defenceless Sahrawi people in the occupied territories of Western Sahara.

European NGO denounces "serious" violation of human rights in Western Sahara

Budapest (Hungary), Aug 17, 2013 (SPS) - Morocco “violates seriously human rights in its country and in the occupied territories” of Western Sahara, the Europe’s Central and Eastern Alliance for Solidarity with the Sahrawi People bemoaned.


The reaction of the European NGO comes after the visit made by Moroccan minister of foreign affairs to Hungary where the two sides made a joint statement at the end of the visit.

UN, France and Spain betrayed Saharawi people (Galand)

Moroccan forces harasses Basque delegation in occupied El Aaiun

Province of Lecce and Wilaya of Dakhla sign friendship protocol

Lecce (Italy), Aug 11, 2013 (SPS) - The Italian Province of Lecce and Saharawi Wilaya of Dakhla have signed a protocol of friendship, in the aim to strengthen the ties of friendship between the two cities, as reported by the press in the city.


The protocol was signed by the Representative of the Saharawi Foreign Minister Mr. Mohamed Salem El Duena Salek and President of the Province of Lecce Mr. Antonio Gabellone.

“Sons of the Clouds” and “Gdeim izik” will attend the 15th International Film and Human Rights Festival

Buenos Aires, August 07,2013 (SPS) - The documentaries "Sons of the Clouds. The Last Colony ", by Alvaro Longoria and Javier Bardem, and the documentary" Gdeim Izik, camp of the Sahrawi resistance ",by Lluís M. Güell-, will be screened as part of the 15th Film and Human Rights Festival From 07 to 14 August, which will also orgnize a Table Discussion on the Sahrawi issue next Tuesday with presence of  Bachir Salem, Representative of the SADR and Polisario Front in Argentina.

 

Nigeria reiterates its support for the right of Saharawi people to self-determination and independence

Abuja, August 06,2013 (SPS)- The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Nigeria, Mohamed Nordin, has reiterated on Monday " Nigeria’s unconditional support to the right of the Saharawi people to self-determination and independence, in accordance with the resolutions of African Union and the United Nations and the principles of international law on decolonization ".

 

President of Republic felicitates Robert Mugabe on his reelection as president of Zimbabwe

The President of the Republic congratulated, in the name of POLISARIO leadership as well as Saharawi people and government, His Excellency Mr. Mugabe on his reelection at the helm of the Republic of Zimbabwe.

Adala UK participates in a meeting in occupied El Aaiun

El Aaiun (occupied territories), Aug 5, 2013 (SPS) - The British NGO “Adala UK” has participated in a meeting entitled “Supporting Peaceful Protest”, organised by the Gdeim Izik Coordination in the occupied city of El Aaiun, capital of Western Sahara, as published Sunday on its website.


Attendees highlighted the importance of support to the peaceful demonstrators as a way to demand the right of the Saharawi people to self-determination.
