Algiers, August 09, 2018 (SPS) - A caravan of food aid set off Wednesday from Algiers to the Sahrawi refugee camps in Tindouf (around 2000-km southwest of Algiers), under the supervision of the Algerian Red Crescent (CRA) in presence of representatives of the Sahrawi Red Crescent and Sahrawi officials.
The caravan, made up of more than 10 trucks loaded with 125 tonnes of sugar and 63 tonnes of rice, shows Algerian people's solidarity with Sahrawi people, said the president of CRA, Saida Benhabyles.

United Nations (New York), August 09, 2018 (SPS) - The UN Personal  Envoy for Western Sahara, Horst Köhler is trying to reconvene the Frente POLISARIO and Morocco before the end of the current mandate of the United Nations Mission to the Referendum in Western Sahara (MINURSO), said diplomatic sources in New York.

New York, August 6, 2018 (SPS) - United Nations Envoy for Western Sahara Horst Kohler will brief the Security Council on his recent visit to the region to relaunch negotiations between Polisario Front and Morocco.
Former Germany's president will inform the Security Council about his recent activities, according to the Council's monthly forecasts for August.
The meeting will be held behind closed doors, while the final statement will be read to the press by the Council's president for August, Karen Pierce (UK).

Algeria, 06 August 2018 (SPS) - President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Frente POLISARIO, Brahim Ghali, received Sunday at the Sahrawi embassy in Algiers the delegation of the occupied territories of Western Sahara participating in the Summer University of the executives of the Saharawi state and Polisario Front.

Boumerdes (Algeria), August 5, 2018 (SPS) - President of the Saharawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR), Secretary General of the Polisario Front Brahim Ghali said Saturday; in  Boumerdes (50-km east of Algiers), his satisfaction with the ruling of the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU), which confirm that Western Sahara and Morocco are two different countries and that no agreement with Morocco can include the territory of Western Sahara and the adjoining waters.

Livorno (Italy), August 4, 2018 (SPS) - A group of Saharawi children who are spending their summer holidays has been received by Mayor of the city of Livorno, Filippo Nogarin, in the presence media and associations of solidarity with the Saharawi people.
During the reception, which was attended by the Mayor's assistants and the President of the Council, the Mayor of the city signed certificates of honorary citizenship handed over to the Saharawi children.

Boumerdes (Algeria), August 4, 2018 (SPS) - The 9th edition of the Summer University of the executives of the Polisario Front and Saharawi state has kiched off, on Saturday, in Algerian province of Boumerdes.
The Summer University held under the theme “commitment and persistence for independence and freedom,” in the period of August 4-14, 2018, is organized by the Algerian National Committee of Solidarity with the Saharawi People in cooperation with the Sahrawi Republic Embassy to Algeria.
