 New York (United Nations),  14 December  2023 (SPS) – On the occasion of the 63rd anniversary of the adoption by the UN General Assembly of its resolution 1514 on the Declaration on the Granting of Independence to Colonial Countries and Peoples, the  Frente POLISARIO Representation at the United Nations issued a  Press Release highlighting the historical, legal and political significance of this resolution, which is considered the Magna Carta of decolonisation and the cornerstone of UN policy towards the territories that are still colonised, including Western Sahara.

Lusaka (Zambia), December 13, 2023 (SPS)- The Sahrawi Republic participates in the African Union Financial Institutions Consultative Forum held in the Intercontinental Hotel, Lusaka, Zambia, on December 13–15, 2023.

The forum gathers participants from the African Union, Ministries of Finance, Central Banks, African Union Organs and Specialised Agencies, Regional Economic Communities, the Association of African Central Banks, African Securities Exchanges Association, and development partners.

Kenyan Minister of Youth and Sports confirms his country’s position in support of the Sahrawi issue

Nairobi (Kenya), December 13, 2023 (SPS) - The Cabinet Secretary for Youth Affairs, Sports and the Arts of the Republic of Kenya, Minister Ababu Namwamba, received his Sahrawi counterpart, Mr. Hasanitu Mohamed Ashbalal, at the headquarters of the Kenyan Ministry of Youth and Sports on the sidelines of the Sixth African Youth Connekt Summit.

According to a statement published by the Kenyan Ministry of Youth and Sports on its official Facebook page, the two ministers discussed various issues of common interest, especially the field of youth.

UN adopts resolution reaffirming legal status of Western Sahara issue

New York (United Nations), 11 December 2023 (SPS) - At its 78th session, the United Nations General Assembly adopted a resolution reaffirming the responsibility of the United Nations towards the Sahrawi people and calling on the Special Committee on the Situation with regard to the Implementation of the Declaration on the Granting of Independence to Colonial Countries and Peoples (Committee of 24) to continue to consider the situation of Western Sahara as "a territory subject to decolonization".

On 75th anniversary of Universal Declaration of Human Rights... Accelerated deterioration of basic rights in occupied Sahrawi territories

Occupied El-Aaiun, 10 December 2023 (SPS) - The Sahrawi Association against Moroccan Occupation (ISACOM)  confirmed that on the 75th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which is commemorated today, Sunday, the occupied cities of Western Sahara are witnessing a "accelerated deterioration" of the basic rights guaranteed by the Declaration. It emphasized the need for the international community to stop the policy of double standards and end the "immunity" enjoyed by the Moroccan occupation.

Wilaya of Boujdour, 9 December 2023 (SPS) - Member of the National Secretariat, Prime Minister Mr. Bashraya Hamoudi Beyoun, received Friday a delegation from the Galicia region after concluding their visit to the city of Boujdour and its institutions.

Launch of online platform to document Moroccan occupation crimes against Sahrawi civilians

Occupied El Aaiun, 8 December 2023 (SPS) - The Sahrawi Association against Moroccan Occupation (ISACOM) launched its online platform on Wednesday, dedicated to monitoring and documenting various human rights violations in the occupied cities of Western Sahara, and highlighting the violations of the Moroccan occupation regime of international law and international humanitarian law.

The President of the National Council receives a Spanish delegation in solidarity with the Sahrawi People

National Council, December 5, 2023 (SPS) – The member of the National Secretariat and President of the National Council, Mr. Hamma Salama, received yesterday a Spanish delegation in solidarity with the Sahrawi people, leading a working visit to the institutions of the Sahrawi state.

During the meeting, the President of the National Council expressed his appreciation for this visit, highlighting its importance in accompanying the Sahrawi people in their struggle for freedom and independence.
