Algiers, Jan 14, 2022 (SPS) - The Ambassador of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR) in Algeria, Abdelkader Taleb Omar affirmed that the main demand that the Frente POLISARIO intends to submit to the personal envoy of the UN Secretary General, Staffan de Mistura was the political solution through referendum.

President of Republic launches the National Symposium on Cooperation and Humanitarian Support

Shahid Al-Hafed, Jan 12, 2022 (SPS) - The President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Mr. Ibrahim Ghali, launched today the national symposium on cooperation and humanitarian support at the headquarters of the Sahrawi Ministry of Cooperation.
The seminar was launched in the presence of the Prime Minister, Bushraya Hamoudi Bayoun, the Minister of Cooperation Ms. Fatma al-Mahdi, and members of the National Secretariat of the Polisario Front, government and parliament.

Frente POLISARIO welcomes the withdrawal of the British company “New Age” from the Saharawi coasts

London, Jan 12, 2022 (SPS) - The Frente POLISARIO welcomed the announcement of the withdrawal of the British company New Age (African Global Energy) from its exploration activities for oil and gas that it had launched in 2014, following a license granted by the Moroccan occupation authorities, in order to exploit the Foum Ognit oil block, in the occupied city of El Aaiún.

Bir Lehlu (Sahrawi Republic), Jan 11, 2022 (SPS) - The Saharawi People's Liberation Army (SPLA)  Tuesday bombed the positions of the Moroccan occupation forces in the sectors of Smara and Farsía in an intense and concentrated manner.
According to War Report No. 425 issued by the Ministry of National Defense, advanced detachments of our army concentrated their bombardments against enemy soldiers in the following positions:
- The Jangat Huría region, in the Smara sector.
- The Rus Udei As-sfaa region, in the Smara sector.

Moroccan forces of repression arrest a young Sahrawi in the occupied city of Smara

Public Health Ministry announces the results of the week ending current situation of the pandemic in the camps

According to information provided by ministry sources, thirteen (13) new cases of COVID-19 have been registered last week, fifty cases have fully recovered and one has died.

Biden called to rescind Trump's declaration on Western Sahara

Bir Lahlou (Liberated Territories), 9 January 2022 (SPS) - Units of the Sahrawi People's Liberation Army (SPLA) on Sunday carried out new attacks against positions of the Moroccan occupation forces in the Mahbas and Awsard sectors, indicated a communiqué of the Ministry of Defense.
According to communiqué 423, units of the Sahrawi Army carried out new attacks against positions of the Moroccan occupation forces in the region of Agrara Fersik in the Mahbas sector and that of Kelb Enos in the Awsard sector.

Security Council called to take concrete measures to settle situation in Western Sahara

Berlin, 9 January 2022 (SPS) - The representative of the Polisario Front to the United Nations (UN) and the Polisario Front’s coordinator with MINURSO Sidi Mohamed Omar called on the Security Council to take concrete measures to settle the situation in Western Sahara which has experienced a radical change since the resumption of the armed struggle on 13 November 2020, insisting on the need for the Security Council to become aware of the serious consequences of the status quo policy. 

Sahrawi civilian prisoner on warning hunger strike in Morocco

Kenitra (Morocco), 8 January 2022 (SPS) - Sahrawi civilian prisoner, Abdallah Wali Ahmed Khafouni, within the Agdim Izik group, who is in the Kenitra Central Prison, north of the Moroccan capital, Rabat, embarked Thursday on a 48-hour hunger strike, according to a Sahrawi human rights source.

Personal Envoy for Western Sahara prepares his first tour in region

New York (UN), 8 January 2022 (SPS) -  The UN Secretary-General's Personal Envoy for Western Sahara, Staffan de Mistura, is preparing his first tour of the region, according to Stéphane Dujarric, Spokesperson for UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres.
Mr. Dujarric's remarks indicated that Mr. De Mistura is preparing his first tour in the region, stressing that "the latter is in contact with the two parties concerned, namely the Polisario Front and Morocco".

Saharawi army attacks the enemy positions with concentrated bombardments on the Hauza sector

Bir Lehlu (Sahrawi Republic), Jan 06, 2022 (SPS) - The Sahrawi People's Liberation Army (SPLA) attacked Thursday the positions of the Moroccan occupation army with concentrated bombings on the Hauza sector.
According to War Report No. 420 made by the Ministry of National Defense, advanced units of our army concentrated their bombardments on the aforementioned sector, particularly the regions of Bin Zakka, Rus Lagseibiyin, on two consecutive occasions, and Fadrat Al-Ich.

According to War Report No. 419 of the Ministry of National Defense, advance detachments of our army attacked various targets of enemy forces in entrenched positions in the Rus Bin Amera region, on two consecutive occasions.
