45th EUCOCO Conference opens in Las Palmas, three continents represented

Las Palmas (Spain), 11 November 2021 (SPS) - The 45th European Conference of Support and Solidarity with the Sahrawi People (EUCOCO) opened Friday afternoon at the Congress Palace of Las Palmas (Gran Canaria).
Speaking on this occasion, the Sahrawi Prime Minister, Bouchraya Hammoudi Bayoun said that the Sahrawis did not want to wage war but were forced to take up arms after Morocco breached the ceasefire, in force since 1991, following the armed assault committed against Sahrawi demonstrators in the buffer zone of Guerguerat, on November 13, 2020.

Appeal submitted to CJUE against EU-Morocco agriculture agreements cannot succeed

Las Palmas (Spain), 11 November 2021 (SPS) - The appeal submitted by the Council of the European Union (EU) to the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) concerning the EU-Morocco fisheries and agriculture agreements cannot succeed because the judges of the first court have not omitted any details, said Friday Pierre Galand, the president of the European Coordination for Support and Solidarity with the Saharawi People (EUCOCO).

Bir Lahlou (SADR), Dec 09, 2021 (SPS) - President of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR) and Secretary General of the Frente POLISARIO Brahim Gali affirmed that the POLISARIO will not adhere to any peace process at a time when the occupation State imposes its terrorist regime on the occupied Sahrawi territories, and in light of the unexplained silence of the United Nations.  

Coordination meeting of parliamentary delegation participating in 45th EUCOCO

Algiers, Dec 09, 2021 (SPS) - A coordination meeting of the delegation of the two chambers of Parliament taking part in the 45th European Solidarity and Support Group with the Sahrawi people scheduled for 10 and 11 December in Las Palmas, Spain, was held on Tuesday at the headquarters of the Council of the Nation, the Council said in a communiqué. 

Frente POLISARIO’s Representative in Paris calls on France to reconsider its support for Morocco

Paris, Dec  09, 2021 (SPS) - The Representative of the Frente POLISARIO in France, Mr. Mohamed Sidati, called on France to “reconsider its policy of support for the occupying Moroccan state in its illegal occupation of Western Sahara and to take advantage of his presidency of the European Union (EU) next semester to guide the efforts of the European bloc towards the sincere and serious search for a just and peaceful solution to the conflict in Western Sahara ”.

A Sahrawi political prisoner in Morocco goes on hunger strike

Occupied Aaiun, Dec 08, 2021 (SPS) - The Sahrawi political prisoner, Mohamed Bashir Boutengiza, within the Gdeim Izik group, who is in the central prison of Kenitra, north of Rabat - the Moroccan capital, began today, Wednesday, a 48-hour hunger strike on Wednesday and Thursday, 08, 09 December 2021 in conjunction with the Commemoration of the seventy-third anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (Spain), Dec  08, 2021 (SPS) - The 45th edition of the European Conference of Support and Solidarity with the Saharawi People (EUCOCO) will take place on 10 and 11 December in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. This event, one of the most important worldwide in solidarity with Western Sahara, has been held since 1975, the year of the beginning of the illegal Moroccan occupation, continuously each year in a European city.

SPLA launch new attacks against Moroccan occupation forces positions

Bir Lehlu (Sahrawi Republic), Dec  08, 2021 (SPS) - The units of the Saharawi People's Liberation Army (SPLA) launched new attacks on Tuesday against various targets of the Moroccan occupation forces at different points of their positions throughout from the Wall of Shame.
According to War Report No. 390 made public by the Ministry of National Defense, Tuesday, December 7, 2021, units of our army have taken the following actions:

Bir Lehlou (Saharawi Republic) 07 December 2021 (SPS)- The President of the Saharawi Republic, Secretary general of the Frente Polisario, Mr. Brahim Ghali, affirmed in a letter he addressed Yesterday to the UN Secretary General, Antonio Guterres, that Polisario will not engage in any peace process while the Moroccan state of occupation continues imposing its reign of terror on the Saharawi civilians in the occupied territories of Western Sahara.

Call for "urgent action" to protect Sultana Khaya and her family

Shahid El Hafed (refugee camps), 6 December 2021 (SPS) - The Sahrawi National Committee for Human Rights condemned the attack against the activist Sultana Khaya and her family perpetrated by the Moroccan occupation forces, calling for an "urgent action" to put an end to "terrorism of the Moroccan State".

EU-Morocco agreements: Polisario Front deplores EU Council's appeal against Court's rulings

Brussels, 5 December 2021 (SPS) - The Polisario Front representative in Europe and the European Union (EU), Oubbi Bouchraya Bachir, deplored Friday the appeal of the Council of the European Union against the rulings of the European Court that annulled the new EU-Moroccan agreements that illegally included the part of Western Sahara under Moroccan occupation.

SPLA targets Moroccan occupation forces in several sectors

Bir Lehlu (Sahrawi Republic), Dec  01, 2021 (SPS) - Units of the Sahrawi People's Liberation Army (SPLA) carried out yesterday concentrated attacks against the entrenchments of the Moroccan occupation forces along the Wall of the Shame.
According to War Report No. 384 of the Ministry of National Defense, Wednesday, December 1, 2021, units of our army bombed various enemy positions in the following regions:
- Tajalit At-Talah, in Um Dreiga.
- Udei Adamrán, in Mahbes.

The Forum on “The Role of Protection in the Promotion of Human Rights” continues its works in three workshops

Chahid El Hafed (SADR) 01 December 2021 (SPS)- The thematic forum on “The Role of Protection in the Promotion of Human Rights”, organized by the Saharawi National Commission for Human Rights (CONASADH) in partnership with the Movement for Peace (MPDL), organized at the Commission’s headquarters in Chahid El Hafed from the 30th November to the 2nd December, continued its works for the second day in the form of workshops after its opening yesterday, with the attendance of more than 60 participants.
