Karlstad (Sweden), Feb 10, 2018 (SPS) - Representative of the Polisario Front in Sweden, Limam Khalil, takes part in the 42nd Congress of the Swedish Left Party, held Friday to Sunday, in Karlstad, at an invitation of the Party.
The Congress discusses a number of issues, notably the preparation for the general elections that will be held in Sweden next September. It will also elect president and leadership of the party.

Bir Lehlu (Liberated Territories),   Feb 08,2018 (SPS) - The President of the Republic, Secretary General of the Frente POLISARIO and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Mr. Brahim Gali, has chaired today, in the 5th Military Region, expanded meeting of the General Staff of the Sahrawi People's Liberation Army (SPLA).
 
The two-day meeting is devoted to examining the annual program of the Ministry of National Defense for the year 2018 and the various aspects related to the Saharawi military institution. SPS

Chahid El Hafed (Sahrawi refugee camps), Feb 07, 2018 (SPS) - Sahrawi President, Secretary General of Frente POLISARIO Brahim Ghali has received the delegation of the African Court on Human and Peoples' Rights, on a working visit to the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR) since Monday.
"Gali welcomed the visit of the African Court's delegation to SADR institutions, wishing them pleasant stay in the Sahrawi Republic and refugee camps,"

Chahid El Hafed, Feb 07, 2018 (SPS) - The Saharawi Petroleum and Mining Authority expressed satisfaction with the decision of foreign companies, Kosmos Energy and Capricorn Exploration & Development Company Ltd, to suspend their oil exploration activities in the occupied territories of Western Sahara, said a statement from the authority reached SPS.
The Saharawi authorities have described this withdrawal as an "exhausting blow" for the projects of the Moroccan occupation in Western Sahara.

Chahid El-Hafed (Saharawi Refugee Camps), Feb 07, 2018 (SPS) - The President of the Republic, Secretary General of the Frente POLISARIO, Mr. Brahim Gali, today issued a Presidential Decree that includes some appointments in the government of the SADR.
By Presidential Decree No. 08/2017 and in accordance with the powers conferred upon it by the Constitution of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic appointed:
- Bachir Mustafa Sayed, Minister for the Affairs of the Occupied Territories and the Abroad Community

Algiers, Feb 07, 2018 (SPS)- Saharawi Foreign Minister Mohamed Salem Ould Salek said Morocco must put an end to its occupation of the territories of an African Union’s member state as it has joined the African institution.

Chahid El-Hafed (Sahrawi refugee camps) Feb 06, 2018 (SPS)- -The Sahrawi government hailed the decision of the African Union (AU) Summit calling the two parties to the conflict in Western Sahara (Morocco and the Frente POLISARIO) to engage in direct talks.

Algiers , Feb 06, 2018 (SPS)- "The SADR, as a member country of the AU has the right to demand the AU military intervention if Morocco refuses the peaceful solution to Western Sahara conflict and if it rejects the direct negotiations, proposed by UN Special Envoy Horst Kohler," Sahrawi Foreign Minister, Mohamed Salem Ould Salek told a news conference he hosted at the headquarters of the Sahrawi Embassy in Algiers.

London, Feb 4, 2018 (SPS) -The Western Sahara Research Watch (WSRW) said it “was deeply shocked by the rogue behaviour of the European Commission,” which negotiate with Rabat a new trade agreement that includes SADR’s products.
“The European Commission shows blatant disregard for the judgment the Court of Justice and for obstructing the UN peace efforts in Western Sahara” as it continues negotiations with Morocco a new agreement that includes the resources of occupied Sahrawi territories,” affirmed WSRW Representative Morten Nielson.

Shaheed El-Hafed (refugee camps), Feb 4, 2018 (SPS) - A delegation of the African Court on Human and Peoples' Rights will start a working visit to the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR) as from Monday.
During the two-day visit, the African Court's delegation will be received by Sahrawi President and Secretary General of Polisario Front Brahim Ghali and other officials of the Polisario Front.

Brussels (Belgium), Feb 3, 2017 (SPS) - About a hundred organizations of the Sahrawi civil society expressed Saturday, their “deep concern” regarding the negotiations between the European Union (EU) and Morocco, to include products from Western Sahara in their trade agreements, without the consent of the Sahrawi people, condemning a “destructive and unsustainable” approach of the European commission.

During an investor conference in Whistler, British Columbia, on 25 January, Chuck Magro, Nutrien's President and CEO, told that the company has an intention to stop buying phosphate rock from Western Sahara. This was reported by Reuters.
However, Reuters did not report on the most interesting part of the news: the CEO informed that the contract between the Moroccan exporter OCP and the part of Nutrien that used to be called Agrium is ending now in 2018.

Shaheed El-Hafed (Refugee Camp), Feb 2, 2018 (SPS) - Over  50 Sahrawi and international organizations are  to hold an International Conference on "Civilian Resistance to the Moroccan Occupation" in late February.
The Conference, which will be hosted by the Sahrawi Refugee Camps aims at "defining a new strategy for the peaceful civilian resistance to allow the Sahrawi people to snatch their right to self-determination and independence.

Paris (France), February 01 , 2018 (SPS) - The representative of the Frente POLISARIO in France, Ubbi Bouchraya, emphasized  that the decisions of the AU Thirtieth Summit reflect that the African block has a solid commitment to the resolution of the Western Sahara conflict, based on a referendum of self-determination of the Saharawi people, in accordance with the resolutions of the UN and the AU.

Brussels, Jan 31, 2018 (SPS) - The Sahrawi minister delegate for Europe, member of the National Secretariat Mohamed Sidati called to “compensate the Sahrawi people following the exploitation of its natural wealth without its agreement or the consulting of its sole legitimate representative, the Polisario Front”.

Bir Lahlou (occupied territories), Jan 31, 2018 (SPS) - The Sahrawi government hailed the decision adopted by the 30th ordinary summit of the African Union held recently in Addis Ababa, which calls on the two member States of the organization, the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic, and the kingdom of Morocco, to engage in direct, serious discussions without preconditions, and to take the measures necessary for the organization of a self-determination referendum in Western Sahara in order to put an end to their conflict.
