…recent developments have begun to give the distinct evidence that Nigeria is losing its political integrity and credibility on the issue of Western Sahara. The Nigerian government should be prevailed upon to reverse the on-going betrayal of African independence.
The Nigerian Movement for the Liberation of Western Sahara (NMLWS) has received the report of the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria’s recent visit to the Kingdom of Morocco.

Wilaya of Boujdour, June 15, 2018 (SPS) - The Saharawi people celebrated the Eid al-Fitr holiday in an atmosphere of joy and happiness and exchanged congratulations on this happy occasion.
On this occasion, the President of the Republic Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Brahim Ghali, performed the prayer in the wilaya of Boujdour along with members of the National Secretariat of the Polisario Front, the SADR government, and the authorities and the people of the wilaya of Boujdour.

Madrid, June 14, 2018 (SPS) - The Frente POLISARIO Representative to Madrid, Abidin Bucharaya, was received yesterday at the headquarters of the Workers' Commissions of Spain (CCOO) by a Spanish trade union delegation chaired by Jaime Cedrin López, Secretary General of the union for the Community of Madrid.
The meeting was also attended by Pilar Morales Pacheco, member of the executive and responsible for the area of women and Jorge Maeso Carmona, responsible for the area of International.

Committee of 24: Participants call to speed up Western Sahara decolonization

Council of Mérida City will study a project of Cooperation with the Saharawi People

Merida (Spain). June 12, 2018 (SPS) - The Mayor of the City of Mérida (Extremadura), Antonio Rodríguez Osuna, received this morning, on an institutional visit, the Saharawi Delegate for Extremadura, Hameiduha Ahmed, according to a press release from the mentioned municipality.
At the end of the meeting, the Saharawi delegate pointed out that "he has had the opportunity to explain the situation that the population of Western Sahara is going through and the cooperation that is taking place from Extremadura".

Cuba backs UN a just solution to Western Sahara question (PL)

United Nations, Jun 12, 2018 (SPS) - The Permanent Representative of Cuba to the UN, Anayansi Rodríguez, has reaffirmed the support of her country for a just and definitive solution to the question of Western Sahara.
Speaking at a session of the United Nations Decolonization Committee, the diplomat expressed Cuba's support for the right of the people of Western Sahara to self-determination, based on respect for the principles of the UN Charter and international law. .

Amendment of EU-Morocco association agreement to include Western Sahara, Sidati expresses condemnation

Brussels (Belgium), May 11, 2018 (SPS) - Saharawi delegate Minister for Europe Mohamed Sidati on Monday strongly denounced European Commission 's adoption of the agreement concluded between the European Union (EU) and Morocco, in the form of exchange of letters on the amendment of Protocols 1 and 4 to their association agreement to include Western Sahara.
"The Polisario Front takes note and strongly denounces the European Commission's action," Sidati told APS, deploring the "very serious" action of "robbery" at the European level.

Ceas Sahara: Spain can’t remain impassive to what is happening in occupied Western Sahara

Madrid, June 10, 2018 (SPS) - President of the Spanish Coordination of Solidarity Associations with Western Sahara underlined, in a letter sent to the new Spanish head of Government Pedro Sanchez that “the Spanish State can’t remain impassive with regard to what is happening in occupied Western Sahara.
Congratulating him for his new post of Prime minister, President of Ceas-sahara José Taboada also said in his letter that “the Spanish State must provide all sorts of initiatives to reach a fair and lasting solution to the suffering of the Sahrawi people.”

As South Africans we can’t cherry pick our issues. If we care about the freedom and self-determination of the Palestinians, we cannot care any less about the people of Western Sahara.
Just as Madiba said when he was president that our freedom would not be complete without the freedom of the Palestinians, so President Cyril Ramaphosa said this week: “The gains of our democracy cannot be complete while the Saharawi people’s yearning for freedom and justice is not realised.”

Ramaphosa condemns humanitarian crisis in Western Sahara

Johannesburg – South African President Cyril Ramaphosa on Tuesday said the protracted humanitarian crisis in Western Sahara’s refugee camps was a direct consequence of the delay in finding a lasting solution to the conflict in the North Africa region.
Ramaphosa’s comments follow his bilateral meeting with Saharawi Arab Democratic Republic President Brahim Ghali in Pretoria. Ghali is in the country on a working visit.

The President of the Republic was received at the Robert Gabrielle Mugabe International Airport by the Vice President of the Republic of Zimbabwe, Dr. Shiunga, where traditional teams presented songs and dances welcoming the arrival of the President and his delegation.
