President of Republic arrives in Lusaka on working visit to Republic of Zambia

Lusaka, January 9, 2017 (SPS) - President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Brahim Ghali, and his accompanying delegation arrived Monday in Lusaka in the framework of a working visit to the Republic of Zambia, coming from the Republic of South Africa after a similar visit lasted three days.
The President of the Republic and his accompanying delegation were greeted at Kenneth Kaunda International Airport by Zambian Foreign Minister Harry Kalaba and members of the local and regional government and authorities in the region of Lusaka.

Shaheed El-Hafed, Jan 9, 2017 (SPS) - Sahrawi Coordinator with MINURSO Emhamed Khaddad has confirmed that the drumming and propaganda of Morocco to join the African Union including the visits of its king to some African countries were to hide its concessions and failure, trying to pass them to the internal opinion as if they were victories.  
The Coordinator with MINURSO highlighted in an interview with the national TV that the Malabo joint summit between the African Union and the Arab League constituted a strong shock to Morocco of which it pulled out.

President of Republic condoles Iranian counterpart on death of Ali Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani

Bir Lahlou,  January 9, 2017 (SPS) - President of the Republic, Secretary General of the Polisario Front, Brahim Ghali, sent Monday a message of condolence to his Iranian counterpart, Hassan Rowhani, following the death of former Iranian President Ali Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani.
President Ghali presented on behalf of the Saharawi people and on his own behalf,  to the Iranian president, deepest sympathy and condolences to the bereaved family and the brotherly people of Iran.

WSRW denounces illegal transport of Western Sahara’s resources to Europe despite CJEU’s decision

London, Jan 8, 2017 (SPS) - Western Sahara Resource Watch (WSRW) denounced Saturday the transport, by a European ship, of fishing products from the Sahrawi territory to Europe, two weeks after the decision of the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) banning the implementation of the trade agreement between the European Union (EU) and Morocco on Western Sahara.

Accra, 08 Jan 2017 (SPS) - Prime Minister Abdelkader Taleb Omar met on Saturday in Accra, Ghana, with several presidents and heads of delegations who took part in the inauguration ceremony of Ghanaian President Nana Akufo-Addo .
The Prime Minister met with Zambian President Edgar Lungu, Senegalese President Macky Sall, Speaker of the Algerian Council of Nation, Abdelkader Bensalah, Vice President of the Republic of Chad, Mr. Badaki, and Botswana Minister of Foreign Affairs Pelonomi Venson-Moitoi.

Moroccan forces repress "violently" peaceful demonstration in occupied El-Aaiun

El-Aaiún (occupied territories), Jan 8, 2017 (SPS) - Moroccan forces "violently" intervened Saturday to disperse a peaceful manifestation  in the occupied city of El-Aaiún by the Coordination of Unemployed Sahrawi Graduates to denounce the illegal plundering of Western Sahara resources.
The demonstrators chanted slogans and raised banners against the policies of poverty and marginalization carried out by the Moroccan regime against the Sahrawis and its illegal plundering of the wealth of their country.

Mauritanian caravan for support of Saharawi people arrives in Sahrawi refugee camps

The purpose of the caravan, organized by a group of Mauritanian intellectuals and journalists, is to find out about the situation of the Saharawi people and their just struggle for liberation and independence and to visit SADR institutions.

Pretoria, Jan 2017 (SPS) - President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Brahim Ghali, arrived Friday in Johannesburg, expressed his satisfaction with the "distinguished" relations between Western Sahara and South Africa.
As part of a working visit to South Africa at the invitation of his counterpart Jacob Zuma, Mr. Ghali expressed his "satisfaction with the distinguished relations" between the two countries, at the end of his meeting with the President of the Republic of South Africa.

The Saharawi Prime Minister is accompanied by the Saharawi ambassador in Accra, Mahjoub Sidna and presidential adviser, Mustafa Wadadi.

The Head of State is accompanied by Foreign Minister Mohamed Salem Uld Salek, Minister of Cooperation Bulahi Sid, Minister of State for Security and Documentation, Brahim Ahmed Mahmud and the SG of the National Union of Saharawi Women, Fatma El Mehdi.

UK government reaffirms support to Sahrawi people’s right to self-determination

Chahed El Hafid,  January 04, 2017 SPS -the President of Republic, Secretary General of the Frente POLISARIO, Mr. Brahim Gali, has oversaw Wednesday  the inauguration of the Supreme Judicial Council in the presence of members of the National Secretariat, the government , General Staff of the army and members of the judiciary.
 
In his speech the President stressed that "to improve the noble tasks of judicial institution's performance depends on the collective cooperation and integration."

La Paz, January 03. 2017 (SPS) - Member since Sunday of the UN Security Council as a non-permanent member, Bolivia will be the voice of the peoples of the world and will struggle to build a world without occupation,  the Bolivian President Evo Morales tweeted.
The ambassador of Bolivia to the United Nations, Sacha Llorenti, assured on Twitter that his country intended to privilege regional issues such as peace in Colombia and development in Haiti, and international issues such as Western Sahara and Palestine.

US administration does not recognize alleged Moroccan sovereignty over Western Sahara

Washington, January 03, 2017 (United States)- US Department of State's latest list of independent states, including territories with specific sovereignty, has confirmed once again that the United States administration does not recognize the alleged Moroccan sovereignty over Western Sahara.
The Department of State, which introduced in late 2016 some change on the list, has maintained its position over the Saharawi territory, affirming that its sovereignty is yet to be determined.

Bir-Lehlu (liberated territories), Jan 2, 2017 (SPS) - The President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Brahim Ghali, has sent a message of condolence to his Turkish counterpart, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, following the terrorist attack that targeted a nightclub in the city of Istanbul on the eve of the New Year.
"We have learned, with great emotion and immense sadness, the horrific terrorist attack that left dozens dead and many wounded," the President of the Republic wrote in his message.
