Belize Republic expresses its solidarity with Saharawi people just struggle

New York,  Sept 27, 2016 (SPS) - the Republic of Belize expressed its full solidarity with the just struggle of the Saharawi people for self-determination.
The Foreign Minister of Belize, Mr. Wilfred Elrington said on Monday, during his speech at 71th session of the United Nations General Assembly that his country will maintain its commitment to defending the right of peoples to self-determination and independence.

Algiers, Sept 27, 2016 (SPS) - The Sahrawi President and Secretary General of Polisario Front, Brahim Gali said that the "absence of a clear and firm position" of the United Nations Security Council in the face of Morocco's violation of its decisions, would result in "dangerous developments" that would threaten peace, security and stability in the whole region.

EU to support any political solution allowing Sahrawi people's self-determination

Brussels, September 25, 2016 (SPS) – The European Union expressed readiness to support and facilitate the implementation of any political solution that allows the self-determination of Sahrawi people, and reiterated its concern over the "long duration" of the conflict in Western Sahara and its consequences in the region.

New York, September 24, 2016 (SPS) - Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez reiterated firm support of his country for the Sahrawi people's right to self-determination, in accordance with all relevant UN resolutions.
The question of Western Sahara requires an effort to guarantee the right of the Saharawi people to self-determination in accordance with UN resolutions and respect for their legitimate right to live in peace in their territory, said Rodriguez in a speech before the 71st Session of the UN General assembly in New York. Copenhagen (Denmark), September 22, 2016 (SPS) - The Danish Organization of Afrika Kontakt launched a campaign on several levels in Denmark in order to put pressure on the EU to play a positive role in enabling the Saharawi people of their right to self-determination through a free, fair and impartial referendum, underlining that Western Sahara is the last non-self-governing territory of Africa and still pending the completion of its decolonization process. Hence, it is paramount that the referendum for self-determination is settled and international law respected.

King of Spain calls to find a solution enable Saharawi people to exercise their self-determination right

New York (USA), September 21, 2016 (SPS) - The King of Spain on Tuesday, Mr. Felipe VI, said that his country supports United Nations efforts aimed at reaching a solution to the Saharawi people,  which enable them to exercise their right to self-determination and the decolonization of Western Sahara.
Speaking at UN 71 session of the General Assembly, he called the parties of the conflict "Morocco and the Polisario Front," to resume negotiations to reach a final solution to the conflict in Western Sahara.

Occupied Smara, September 21, 2016 (SPS) - the Moroccan occupying authorities has brutally  dispersed a peaceful demonstration of a group of marginalized young Sahrawi demanding their right to work and a decent life and to benefit from the wealth of their country, reported Sahrawi human rights source.
According to the same source, the occupying authorities attacked the demonstrators in the streets of the city leaving fear among the citizens.
