AU delegation begins a visit to Sahrawi refugee camps

Chahid Hafed, November 05 2015 (SPA) - delegation from the African Union headed by Commissioner of Political Affairs, Dr.Aisha L.Abdullah, accompanied by African Union high officials, started on Wednesday working visit to the Sahrawi refugee camps following the recent heavy rains.

 

The delegation was received by the governor of  Dajla, Mr. Mrabih Mami and the Regional Council , where the delegation examines the size of the losses after torrential rains.

 

CEAS-Sahara delegation visits Saharawi refugee camps

Auserd(Saharawi refugee camps), November 05 2015 (SPS) - the State Coordinator of Associations of Solidarity with the Sahrawi people (CEAS-Sahara) visited on Wednesday the Saharawi refugee camps to express solidarity with Saharawi people and observe the damage caused by the floods that recently hit the camps.

 

Western Sahara conflict title of international Conference in Lebanese Observatory for International and Strategic Relations

Sahrawi mass in Smara denounces Moroccan King expected visit to the occupied Western Sahara

Occupied Smara, November 04, 2015 (SPS) – the Sahrawi mass in occupied Smara has organized a peaceful demonstration condemning the expected visit of the King of Morocco to occupied territories, calling for the self-determination of the Saharawi people, reported the Ministry of the Occupied Territories and Communities Abroad.



Various formations of the Moroccan security forces have violently intervened to represses and prevent the demonstration, causing injuries among the demonstrators. (SPS)

Mauritanian PFU expresses support for the Saharawi people following the recent floods

Bir Lehlu(liberated territories), November 04, 2015 (SPS) .- In a letter to President of the Republic, Mohamed Abdelaziz, secretary general of the Mauritanian political party Union of Progressive Forces (UFP), Mohamed Ould Mouloud voiced Tuesday his party's support to the Saharawi people following the  recent floods.
 

 

Canary Popular Party reiterates its solidarity with the Saharawi people following the recent floods

Santa Cruz de Tenerife(Spain) November 3, 2015 (SPS) the Canary Popular Party on Tuesday renewed it solidarity with the Saharawi people following heavy rain that hit recently the Sahrawi refugee camp,  according to a statement from the deputy president of the regional parliament for the Canary province Ms. Christina Tabio.

 

During her meeting with Sahrawi Polisario Front Representative Mr. Hamdi Mansur in the headquarters of the Canary Parliament Christina has expressed solidarity with the Saharawi people after the recent floods. (SPS)

 

Valencia province provides financial assistance for Sahrawi refugees following the floods

Valencia(Spain), November 03, 2015 (SPS) - The central government of the province of Valencia, announced 125,000 Euro financial assistance for the Sahrawi refugees affected by the recent floods, during meeting between the charged of cooperation in Valencia with the Polisario Front representative Mr. Saad El Mami.


 

“this assistance comes to meet essential needs in light of the damage caused by the recent rains," stressing full solidarity with the struggle of the Saharawi people and their just cause.” Mr. Federico Garcia said. (SPS)

Namibia hosts Saharawi Women Right for Resistance International Conference

Smara student movement organizes a demonstration to protest the visit of the King of Morocco

Smara(occupied territories), November 03, 2015 (SPS) -The student movement in Smara  organized on Monday  a demonstration to express their rejection to the visit of the King of Morocco to the occupied territories of Western Sahara.
 
 

The Participants carrying SADR flags and banners that reflected thier "total rejection" to the planned visit to the occupied city of El Aaiun and slogans calling for the immediate release of all Saharawi political prisoners in Moroccan jails .

 

Creation of Tunisian Committee of solidarity with Saharawi people

 Tunis, November 2, 2015 (SPS) Tunisian lawyers and jurists, Majeed Al Barhumi and Mohamed Dergam and journalist, Hisham Allagui, have announced the creation of the Tunisian Support Committee of the Sahrawi people in the capital Tunis.

 

 The Commission aims to raise awareness of the Tunisian public opinion about the legitimate struggle of the Saharawi people for freedom and independence, "said a statement of the committee.

Saharawi journalist wages strike to protest against prevention from work

El Aaiún (Occupied Territories), 1 Nov 2015 (SPS) Sahrawi high school teacher and Equipe Media‘s coordinator Mohamed Mayara will begin an open strike on Monday, in front of the educational local authorities in the occupied city of El Aaiún .

 

In a public statement Mayara said that the education authorities suspended his salary last September while waiting for his appearance before a disciplinary board alleging that he refused to teach.

 

National Council hails determination of Saharawi people after floods

 Shaheed El-Hafed, November 1, 2015 (SPS) The office of the National Council praised the faith and determination of the Saharawi people during and after the floods that have destroyed the homes of refugees and public institutions.

 

 "The office reviewed the efforts made since the first day of the disaster by the Sahrawi authorities to ensure the normal life of citizens, the functioning of public services (health and education) and ensuring the supply of food and housing," the National Council said in a statement a copy of which received by SPS.

Podemos reiterates full support to struggle of Saharawi people

Brutal intervention against peaceful sit-in Smara occupied city

Smara (Occupied Territories), October 31, 2015 (SPS) The Moroccan occupation forces intervened on Friday against a peaceful sit-in organized by Saharawi citizens in the occupied city of Smara, said a source from the Ministry of Occupied Territories.

 

During the sit-in, participants chanted slogans denouncing the Moroccan occupation of their territory and the policy of marginalization against Sahrawis.
