African countries renew their demand for implementation of UN-OAU settlement plan

Renewed Support for Sahrawi Self-Determination from Latin American Countries at UN

New York (UN), June 14, 2024 (SPS) - Latin American countries reiterated their unwavering support for the Sahrawi people's right to self-determination and independence during statements delivered at the thematic session of the Special Committee on the Implementation of the Declaration on the Granting of Independence to Colonial Peoples (the Committee of 24), which began its work on Monday at UN Headquarters in New York.

Sahrawi association calls on United Nations to assume its responsibilities and force Moroccan occupation to respect international legitimacy

Occupied El Aaiun, 10 June 2024 (SPS) - The Sahrawi Association for Victims of Serious Human Rights Violations Committed by the Moroccan State called on the United Nations and the Security Council to assume their responsibilities regarding the "repressive policies, torture, and daily violence and work" that Sahrawi civilians are subjected to in the occupied part of Western Sahara and Moroccan universities, and to force the Moroccan occupation regime to respect international legitimacy.

In an intervention during a media conference in Beirut, Leila Badiaa called for rallying support to support the just Sahrawi cause, addressing the legitimate struggle of the Sahrawi people, and on this occasion calling for standing by the right.
