Managua (Nicaragua), July 17, 2024 (SPS) - The Sahrawi Trade Union “UGTSARIO” is participating in the International Trade Union Forum in Nicaragua, alongside with more than forty delegates from 25 countries.

The opening ceremony of the International Trade Union Forum, which was held at the Olof Palme Conference Center under the theme "45 Years of Achievements and Revolutionary Progress", was attended by the Nicaraguan Minister of Labor, Alba Luz Torres.

Madrid (Spain), July 16, 2024 (SPS) - The Spanish Minister of Youth and Childhood, Mrs. Cira Rego, met with the leaders of the Sahrawi delegation in Spain and representatives of the General Coordination of Friendship and Solidarity Associations with the Sahrawi people.

The aim of the meeting was to continue her sector's support for the Holiday in Peace program for the benefit of Sahrawi children, during a reception ceremony that brought her together with groups of children accompanied by host families.

 Madrid (Spain), July 16, 2024 (SPS) - An agreement was signed Tuesday to support the Sahrawi people in the town of Tres Cantos in the Madrid region between the Association of Friends of the Sahrawi People and the Municipal Council and the Representation of the Polisario Front in the Madrid region, where the Mayor of Tres Cantos, Mr. Jesús Moreno, and the President of the Association of Friends of the Sahrawi People, Ms. Carmen de Gregorio, signed the agreement.

Occupied El Aaiún, July 16, 2024 (SPS) - The Sahrawi Association of Victims of Serious Human Rights Violations Committed by the Moroccan State (ASVDH) expressed in a statement its strong condemnation of the seizure of homes and lands owned by Sahrawi families in the occupied parts of Western Sahara.

The ASVDH affirmed its full and unconditional solidarity with all Sahrawis who are victims of the crime of forced displacement, land confiscation, and the expansion of settlements, which amount to war crimes and crimes against humanity.

Tenerife (Canary Islands), July 15, 2024 (SPS) - The Association of Friends of the Sahrawi People in the Canary Islands and the Solidarity Movement on the island of Tenerife organized a demonstration in support and solidarity with the Sahrawi people and in defense of its inalienable right to self-determination and independence, on the occasion of the arrival of dozens of Sahrawi children to the Canary Islands, within the framework of the summer program Holidays in Peace.

Pretoria (South Africa), July 15, 2024 (SPS) - Member of the National Secretariat of the Polisario Front, Minister of Foreign Affairs, , Mohamed Sidati, has been received by his counterpart Ronald Ozzy Lamola, the South African Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, at the beginning of a working visit to South Africa.

The meeting, attended by senior officials from the South African Foreign Ministry, before the two ministers met separately, after which the meeting was expanded to include members of the two delegations.

Bourmedes (Algeria), July 14, 2024 (SPS) - In a speech delivered during the opening of the Summer University for Sahrawi Executives, read on his behalf by his deputy Mr. Mohamed Redha Ousahla, Mr. Salah Goudjil, the President of the People's National Assembly, reiterated Algeria's steadfast, constant and unconditional support for the struggle of the Sahrawi people and their rights enshrined in the United Nations charters and the African Union Charter on Human and Peoples' Rights.

Boumerdes (Algeria), July 14, 2024 (SPS) - The activities of the Summer University for Sahrawi State and the Polisario Front Executives were launched today, Sunday, in Boumerdes, Algeria, in its 20th edition, with the participation of 400 executives representing various national institutions and bodies.

Harare (Zimbabwe) - The Foreign Relations Secretary of Zimbabwe's ruling party, the Zimbabwe African National Union-Patriotic Front (ZANU-PF), Simbarashe Mumbengegwi, reaffirmed his country's support for the Sahrawi people's just struggle for self-determination, freedom and independence.
