Morocco has no right on UN missions in Western Sahara, says WSAF

London, March 23, 2016 (SPS) - Morocco has not right on the mandates of the United Nations missions in the territories that are not under its authority, and allowing it to give itself this right would be a serious precedent, said Wednesday in London the international organization supporting Western Sahara in the  United Kingdom "Western Sahara Action Forum" (WSAF).
 
 

Polisario Front representatives received by the Chairman of Parliamentary Committee on Foreign Affairs and Portuguese Communities

Lisbon, March 23. 2016 (SPS) .- The representative of Polisario Front  in Portugal, Mr. Ahmed Fal, was received Tuesday by the chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Foreign Affairs and Portuguese Communities, Mr. Sergio Sousa Pinto, in Headquarters of the Assembly of the Republic (Parliament), reported sources of Sahrawi Representatives in Portugal.
 

Western Sahara: UN shuts military liaison office in Dakhka (occupied territories)

Washington, March 23, 2016 -The United Nations confirmed Tuesday the closure of its military liaison office in Dakhla (occupied territories of Western Sahara) following Morocco's retaliation measures targeting the military staff of the United Nations Mission for the Referendum in Western Sahara (MINURSO).
 
The three military observers based there were relocated Monday to the Aoussered team site (in western occupied territories), Deputy Spokesman for the Secretary-General Farhan Haq announced in a press briefing.
 

Danish money should not finance Morocco’s occupation to Western Sahara (Africa Kontakt)

Copenhagen (Denmark) March 23, 2016 – The Danish Organisation Africa Kontact released Tuesday new report calling on the Danish Banks and pension funds to not finance Morocco’s illegal occupation to Western Sahara, the last colony in Africa.
 
Africa Kontakt indicates in its report that Danish banks and pension funds' investments contribute to Morocco's continued occupation of Western Sahara.

CM praises moral and high degree of willingness shown by SPLA soldiers

Chahed El Hafed, March 23, 2016  (SPS) .- The Council of Ministers has praised Tuesday the moral and the high degree of willingness shown by the soldiers of Sahrawi People’s Liberation Army (SPLA) and their response to the homeland and duty appeal.
 
The meeting assessed the degree of the combat and operational readiness of the military regions of Saharawi People’s Liberation Army to confront and neutralize any threat. SPS

Council of Ministers holds a meeting on national cause latest developments

Polisario Front calls Security Council to assume its responsibilities towards the decolonization of Western Sahara (Sahrawi Republic letter)

Bir Lahlu, March 22, 2016 (SPS) - The Polisario Front launched an urgent appeal to the Security Council to assume its responsibilities as the first head of MINURSO and guarantor of the mission with which it was invested, namely organization of self-determination referendum in Western Sahara, said a letter from the President of the Sahrawi Republic SG of the Polisario Front, Mohamed Abdelaziz to the President of the security Council, Ismael A. Gaspar Martins.
 

Members of European Parliament commend UN SG visit to Saharwi refugee camps and liberated territories

UN accuses Morocco of '"infringing UN charter," calls Security Council to act

Washington, March 22, 2016 (SPS) - The United Nations accused Monday Morocco of "infringing the United Nations charter" and called on the Security Council to act while taking the necessary measures to put an end to excesses of Rabat. 
 
Deputy Spokesman of Ban Ki-moon Farhan Haq affirmed in a press conference that by expelling the MINURSO civil staff, "Morocco infringed the United Nations charter."
