Brussels (Belgium), May 13, 2016 (SPS) - Human rights violations in Morocco and occupied Western Sahara remain frequent said Thursday, in Brussels (Belgium), human rights activists who deplored the persistence of arbitrary arrests, ill-treatment, torture and condemnation of activists, particularly Sahrawis, to lengthy sentences at the end of inequitable trials.

Pierre Galand: Recent months "essential" for Sahrawi cause

Brussels, May 12, 2016 (SPS) - President of the Conference for Support and Solidarity with Sahrawi People (EUCOCO) Pierre Galand stressed Wednesday in Brussels that the recent months have been "essential" for the Sahrawi cause, regretting that the UN Security Council has not already set a schedule for the self-determination referendum.

Weeklong tribute to Sahrawi political prisoners in Brussels

Brussels, May 10, 2016 (SPS) - A weeklong tribute to the Sahrawi political prisoners and their determination to struggle for right and justice is organized since Monday at the Université Libre de Bruxelles by the Belgian committee of support to the Sahrawi people.
Placed under the theme “Western Sahara, spark of the Arab spring,” this week was inaugurated by a photo exhibition entitled “Gdeim Izik, the camp of dignity-tribute series,” a photo report produced by amateur photographer Anthony Jean.
